This is a very rare Marc oni-stamped'R' valve, dating from approximately 1918/1919. This valve has a tested filament and worked well in my Marconi V2 set. These valves were amongst the earliest available when radio broadcasting began and were the'bright emitter' type. Operation was usually from a 6 volt accumulator due to the current consumption! The getter is bright and not at all faded and greyed, the print is perfect and the obverse of the valbve carries the circular Marconi decal.
