This is an early 2009 manufactured Mac Pro(4.1) With an easy and stable firmware hack, it now believes it is a 2010 5,1 model. This enabled me to upgrade the processor and memory so that it is incredibly fast. 12 GB RAM@ 1333 Mhz DDR ECC(instead of the 1033 which was originally supported) It should output sound via the mini display port but I never tried to do that so I cannot say whether it does or not(although it should) I also added a 128 GB solid state drive in slot 1 with a 250 GB HDD in slot 2. So the machine boots in seconds, runs incredibly quiet and wake from sleep instantly. I am parting with this machine only because I am downsizing.
