Up for Sale is a Vintage 1970's HP(Hewlett Packard) Model 5233L Frequency Counter. I was able to measure the frequency of a power transformer at 60 Hz. No other testing was performed. I will sell this Frequency Counter for Parts or Repair. But based on this simple test we performed, I believe it to be functional as a frequency counter. The Nixie tubes are probably worth the starting price not to count the various PC Boards inside. The Cooling Fan is operational as well. The only flaw I noticed, is that someone has soldered the power cord wires to the push on power connector. Please review Photos. Lodestar Combination Signal Generator & Frequency Counter 150MHz
Here are two pieces of test equipment in one. You get a signal generator that goes from 100kHz to 150MHz. You get a frequency counter that goes from 10Hz to 150MHz. I tested the sig gen by using a shortwave radio. It picked up the modulated signals from the generator with no issues and with no direct connection. I tested over 100mhz using an FM radio and it also indicated it saw the signal with no issue. All bands work. The display works fine. Next. I connected the output of my main signal generator to this unit and put it in frequency counter mode. It worked as the specs say all the way up to 150MHz. A nice unit that shows a bit of wear. But looks nice and seems to work great.

This is a counter that I used checking frequencies at television stations. It works very well. I usually used it with an external GPS based 10 MHz reference but as you can see the internal 10 MHz is OK. I am including the original operating/maintenance manual.
