All controls function as intended on and on… It’s a nice scope. For comparison. This scope would compete with aTDS3054x of any generation. This scope would have a larger foot print on the bench, a bit more noisy, but the acquisition system on this scope is vastly more powerful, and is analytically presentation wise far superior as well. This oscilloscope uses a windows based motherboard to supervise a separate PowerPC board that manages a separate acquisition board. ALL of the heavy lifting is accomplishes with the PowerPC/Acquisition board(oscilloscope side) So the windows board is not heavily burdened as an oscilloscope and can run unrelated applications. Some scopes of this era were so called closed boxes(windows board/acquisition board only) un-approved third party software would crash them and was not allowed; and the interface during calculations could become halting. Still relevant. This scope was advertised to have a waveform capture rate of 100,000 waveforms per second, the DPO/MDO4000 are said to be 50,000 wfps scopes. This is a Metex 20 MHz Digital Oscilloscope. My husband and I purchased a storage locker containing this oscilloscope. New musical instruments, computers, a great running car, and many other perfectly functioning electronic related items. This oscilloscope has been tested and is in excellent condition. There were many electronic items in the unit that we kept because they worked so well, but we do not have a use for this oscilloscope. The original purchase date on the receipt is 12/08/05 and the original price for this item is 799.95. Although it is an older model, it appears to have no wear to the scope, and the plastic film is still in place on the scratch free screen. Very Nicely Working TEKTRONIX 2430 150MHz Digital OSCILLOSCOPE; FREE US Shipping
TEK 2430 is a DSO from the repairable era(circa 1987. Made same time as 2445A, 2465A, 2467) and cost over $6000 new. It is the predecessor of the 2430A. The predecessor of the the 2430 was the 468. Serial# is B012710. 1st photo shows a 1Vpp positive going 1KHz squarewave signal into CH1. 2nd photo shows it stores(cord is removed) 3rd photo shows that a signal can be stored just at the instant cord is removed. 4th photo shows same signal into CH2. 5th signal shows a 1KHz signal from a time mark generator. 6th photo shows self tests pass(doesn't prove everything is fine) 7th photo is of rear. 8th photo is of bottom. 9th photo is of left side. 10th photo is of right side. Photos were taken before refurb and calibration which I will provide if you offer $650(yes. There were digitizing scopes such as the Tektronix 2430 that actually contained normal size parts that can be worked on with human sized fingers. So unlike with newer DSOs, this item does not become e-waste first time it breaks. Tek labels the 2430 as 150MHz/ 100 Megasamples/second. Analog scopes should not be used close to their upper bandwidth limit, digitizing scopes carry the same caveat even more so. It is recommended for use at under 40MHz. Whereas a non-storage scope can only display what happens after triggering. A digital storage scope can also display what happens before triggering, and this is its main advantage it's like a time machine. You can think of it as an endless loop recorder(like a cockpit voice recorder of an airplane) and you can look back any part of the loop you haven't re-recorded over. The length of the loop is 1024 recording points. A point can be as long as 50mS at the slowest sweep speed, or as short as 10nS at the faster sweep speeds. Tektronix 2440 300MHz Two Channel Digital Oscilloscope, CALIBRATED, w/new fan.
Greetings! This 2440 is used and in superb condition. The display processor output and attenuator caps have been tuned to factory specification. And it has been calibrated with a DMM and power supply that both have NIST-traceable calibrations in a lab environment. It is hard to tell from the images, but the display is incredibly sharp, looks like new! The output voltages and ripple were checked via the A13 PCB and were well within spec. Aside from some scuffs and a chip in the left corner of the rear bezel, this unit is in EXCELLENT shape. The system fan has also been replaced with a more modern, powerful and efficient ball bearing fan for long service life. Thanks for looking!

About the 54503A The HP 54503A Digital Oscilloscope is a general purpose four channel random repetitive scope with 500 MHz bandwidth. It has eight bit vertical resolution. And 20 MHz sample rate. The random sample interval is 50 nsec, but sample placement relative to the analog trigger on any acquisition is precise to within 40 psec. Therefore with repetitive signals and multiple acquisitions, a waveform with 40 psec resolution can be constructed. Very precise timing measurements are ... morepossible on repetitive signals.
