Hi All! Thanks for looking at my listing! I've had this Heath calibrator since the mid-Eighties. I bought it from Heath when I went down there to buy some other stuff. I am the original builder and the calibrator has seen very little use as you can see from the photos. It's a late kit. You can tell that because the BNC cable that is usually seen on these pieces was replaced with an RCA connector. You could just as easily put a BNC in it's place. Anyway. This is built the way it came from Heath. I didn't change it out. As you can see in the photos, the voltage output is accurate and so it the timing generator. That is my Tek 2336 scope that is hooked to the calibrator, so you know it is working and at specs. What I don't have with it is the original manual. I loaned it to somebody and it never came back, so what is with ... moreit is a copy from the net. The circuit is identical, except for the output jack for the timing generator. The manual shows a piece of cable with a BNC connector. This thing looks and works like new as I said before. There is one little scratch on one end and it is just in the paint. The only issue I noticed with it is that whenever I tried to set the output to 1000VAC, the unit automatically switched from Operate to Standby, and the output shut off. A 6BA6 oscillator vacuum tube comprises part of the circuit. Power is gotten from the receiver and this unit requires about 150v dc at 2ma. And 6.3v at 0.3a. The 100 KHz crystal is used in this oscillator circuit and generates harmonics up to about 30 MHz. Which serve as markers every 100 KHz throughout the receiver's frequency range. This unit was recently pulled from a working environment, however, once I got it to my office I could NOT get the machine to power on. Nothing happens at all when I turn the power switch on. The unit is very clean inside and so I am assuming something minor happened during transit to prevent it from powering on. I have shown pictures of the inside so I hope this helps. Cosmetically, the unit is in overall good condition with only minor marks and a few scratches to the casing as expected from normal use.
