There is an additional crystal to cover WWV at 10MHz and 17m shortwave and the 18.0 to 18.1 segment of the 17m ham band. Two of the crystals are replacements(one of the standard ones and the WWV segment) As you can see in the photos these are the smaller. Wire-lead HC-25/U types soldered to HC-6/U bases. They work fine. You can add more crystals to cover WARC, 160m, or even CB. A ll tubes have been tested. With defective ones found replaced. Only one needed replacing for a cathode/heater short. The first section of the can electrolytic ... morehas been rewired to use an outboard tubular electrolytic cap. Running this first section of the can electrolytic too close to the working voltage was Drake's weak point in this otherwise finely designed receiver. This replacement cap is properly installed on the underside of the chassis. This is a common fix and should NOT be considered a mod. It extends the life of this receiver. This receiver has the 2AC crystal calibrator installed. It provides strong 100KHz harmonics all the way thru the 10m segment of this receiver. This auction is for a Fluke 343A DC Voltage Calibrator in excellent condition. The following description is from Fluke’s spec sheet: The 343A is a 7-digit instrument with a basic accuracy of 20 ppm and a resolution of 1µV on the 10 µV range. Cleanliness of the dc output is evident in the combined ripple and noise specifications of 50µV rms from the 343A. Short term jitter and other random excursions are almost none-existent. Less than 1 ppm. Output Voltage Range: 0 to 1100 DC Output Current Range: 0 to 25 mA The January 1990 price sheet that the above information came from lists the price of a 343A at $6.350. This is a great unit with no issues. I doubt you could find a better one. Especially at this price. I went over it thoroughly when I first acquired it. At that time I replaced four electrolytic capacitors, two out-of-tolerance ... moreresistors, and all five light bulbs. I ordered the correct bulbs and Vishay capacitors from Digi-Key in order to maintain the high quality of the original components. Since that time everything has worked 100% It was last calibrated in 2008 by ESSCO Calibration Labs(see photo) but it appears to still be well within spec. I’m selling it to help offset the cost of a Fluke 5440 which has another digit of resolution and even better accuracy(albeit at far greater expense) The unit has a few minor scuffs and scrapes but for a unit of this age it’s exceptionally clean. From a Heathkit catalog I found online: The IOA-4510-1 calibrator(Figure 3) was originally designed for the IO-4510 10 MHz scope. Produced from 1974 through 1981. It sold for $14.95 in 1977 and for $17.95 in 1981. This calibrator is just a circuit board with square-wave outputs from 1 KHz to 1 MHz The 1 KHz is adjustable from 0 to 4.7 V peak-to-peak. Power is derived from the oscilloscope under test. Signal selection is through a shielded cliplead provided with the kit. I have not tested this. But it appears in good condition. You are bidding on a very unique torque tester or meter or calibrator. The tester weighs almost 20lbs is is mounted on a 8" x 12" x 1" piece of solid steel. The two larger meters have 1/2" heads and the smaller 200lb meter has a 1/4" head. There all have a wire that has a male printer type connector on the end. The wires will plug right into your printer port if your computer still has one. The cables are 55-58" long and appear to be in good condition. The connectors on the end of the cables have 200. 500 and 1000 printed on them. The base that the 1000 and 500 cables plug into are 4" in diameter at the base and 2" on the 2nd level.
