The unit has not been fully tested however it was given a detailed inspection. The unit contains 5 tubes. All of the tubes were removed and tested. 1ea 6C4- strong. 1ea 12AX7- strong, 1ea 12AT7- strong, 1ea 12AU7- weak and 1ea 6X4- strong) The unit was plugged in and it did not blow a circuit. All of the dials and buttons moves smoothly and lines up properly with required settings. There are no burn marks or smells emitting from the unit. The original outer case has been damaged. The chasis has been placed in another outer shell. The mounting screws in the rear do not line up however the only thing need to be done is drill new holes in the outer shell. This Crown RTA-2 Real Time Analyzer has been continuously racked mounted by me in an home theater environment since 2000. I used this unit with an Earthworks Mk-II microphone for balancing the Crown amplifiers(DC-300A and K2's) for the theater room. RTA-2 was used less the 12 hours since that time. I really liked it for filling out my racks. It was always an attention grabber with guests and visitors. Very few of these were built by Crown. According to a Crown technician several years ago there were fewer than a thousand that were sold. I would quote the actual number in my mind but it seems too low.
