Wow I hate to let this gem go. You are biding on a Huge Very Powerful Lionel#6-28371 Union Pacific DD35A#72 Diesel Locomotive from 2011 in slightly used condition. This engine was rated one of the top 2 engines for pulling power and I watched a video of this engine pulling 116 cars around the track with no problem at all. This engine does it all but will not work on my layout. So I must sell it. I have the right curve radius but the cure sections were built to close to the walls and at 22 inches long it hits the wall and will not make the turn and I do not want to redo my layout. This train has the Legacy control system and all of the great features that came with this 2011 masterpiece. This would be a great accessory for your Standard. O, 027 or S scale toy trains. You can even redecorate this control tower for whatever line/region you like. The man who made this was a true folk artist/ tinkerer in the way that has been lost today. Almost everything on his layout was home made and automated. His family took it all apart. Not knowing what did what. But his art is not lost to us. Though these items will have to be repurposed and perhaps reverse engineered. They are really unique items that deserve to be in someone's collection. This was his industrial tower that either controlled a lumber operation. A coaling situation-I am not sure. They have a really cool design-they can lock in at the top where you push it to the side. Then you push it to the side again to release it. LIONEL STANDARD GAUGE GEARS, SHAFTS AND CONTROL WHEELS FOR 219
Lionel standard gauge gears. Shafts, mounting brackets and control wheels for a 219 crane. There are 2 mounting/alignment brackets through which are attached two steel rods(one is longer than the other) 2 worm gears(one is pot intact pot metal and the other one is brass) and there are two knurled aluminum control wheels. All of these(possibly excepting the brass gear) are original items. The pot metal gear is intact with no swelling or chipping and I do not know if the brass gear is original, though it does not have the'new' look of a repro. There is some minor rust on the alignment brackets and the control rods but the rods are straight, the control wheels are clean and the brackets are straight. They are all in VERY GOOD condition. Shipping in the U.S.is 6.95.

I know nothing about model trains. I found this switch in the room of a basement of a home that was boarded up since WWII.I did have it tested and it does make a complete circuit on both the"uncoupling" and"unloading" an antique dealer friend of mine advised me to leave it as found. And not connect the 2 wires as they will show NEW changes.meaning the patina would be off of them. so the way you see them is the way they were when found. if you look closely at photo 1 you can see the writing just to the left side of the track.the only other markings are on the underneath side with"Made in U S of America" and the part numbers 1019-2.does that mean it was made in 1919?any info would greatly be appreciated.
