And measures 3 1/2 by 19 in. on the face by about 12 in. deep. This has moderate wear-some scratching to the case/no power cord was included so this is sold untested-we are listing another similar NTSC Tuner this week. No further testing has been done. Please see ALL photos closely. Unit does show some"grime" scratching, scuffing, some dirt and some minor rust. Does have 2 tags(photos 9& 10) that are tied to handle with string. Yellow tag is an inspection check tag that shows serial number and other calibration/inspection information. The red tag(should be readable in photo) reads: NOTICE. The 2 screws found in the rear of the case are used primarily for protection of the R.F. assembly in transportation. These may be removed when the instrument is permanently located. Those 2 screws appear to be there. Sencore VA48 TV VTR MATV& Video Signal Analyzer Hello. You are looking at a SENCORE Model VA-48 VIDEO ANALYZER. Comes with several leads and adapters. Designed both for the technician using signal injection and the technician using signal tracing as his main method of troubleshooting. Standard signals are available for injection into any stage from the antenna to the outputs, and the built-in meter may be used in addition to a scope for signal tracing. The VA48 provides all standard color-bar generator patterns to allow the technician to use present servicing literature. These patterns also mean that a separate generator is not needed to converge a color TV receiver once it has been repaired. In addition to the standard color-bar generator patterns, two patented alignment patterns knows as"Bar Sweeps" are provided to check or ... morefully align any IF or Chroma Bandpass amplifier stage. These two patterns totally eliminate the need for a separate sweep and marker generator and are much easier to use. A single control is used for injection of any signal before the video, color, or audio detectors. This control allows injection of any of the VA48 patterns into the RF, video IF, or audio IF stages for troubleshooting or alignment. A second control provides all drive signals needed after the three detectors. Since all of the signals available from this second control are phase-locked to the RF and IF signals, proper operation of the receiver is obtained when a defective stage has been substituted. This control provides all signals for solid-state or tube-type receivers. The output of each drive signal is adjustable in both amplitude and polarity to allow stage-by-stage signal injections. This old model VA48 analyzer comes with the original set up booklet. Warranty(still attached to the handle) and cords, all of which seem to be in near pristine condition. The only'flaw' on the machine is a few light scuffs on the metal band on the top edge(see pic's) otherwise appears to have been seldom if ever used. It powers on but I can't claim to know if all of the functions work, as I have never used one. It measures 14 1/8"L x 11"W x 11"T. Shipping includes tracking.
