SENCORE DVM56A MICRORANGER 4 1/2 digit Multimeter DBM, DBP
This is a used Sencore MICRORANGER DVM56A 4 1/2 digit volt meter. It was purchased from a local utility company. ACC. DCC, OHMS LO POWER, OHMS HI POWER, DCV 2KV, DCV 10KV WITH PROBE, ACV PP 2KV, ACV AVE 1KV RMS, DBM 1KV RMS, DBP 1KV RMS. The feature that I thought was the best was zeroing of your test leads when testing for ohms. I shorted the leads together and pushed the zero button and it would zero the reading to start the test. I don't think I have seen that before in a meter. I tested a 120 ohm 1% resistor and it reat 120.74 ohms. A 12 volt DC wall wart showed 16.667 volts. Unit comes without test leads. Unit is clean with minor scratches on the top. It doesn't appear to have seen much usage.

It was one of the first DVMs to feature autoranging, thanks to the marriage of voltmeter and microprocessor technologies. No more constant fiddling with the range switch, remembering units of measurement, or where the decimal point goes. Other nice features were a programmable dB function, peak-to-peak, average and true RMS AC ranges, peak and null indicators and switch-selectable resolution of 3, 4 or 4 ½ digits.
