I 177-B Military Tube Tester- Hickok& Triplett Parts Calibrated& Works Great I-177-B Military Dynamic Mutual Conductance Tube Tester Calibrated and Ready to Use This I-177-B tube tester has a Hickok meter and a Triplett 350v transformer and and has been upgraded with precision resistors and new capacitors. This I-177-B was calibrated by the professional who made the upgrades and it is calibrated. The tester comes with a manual and other useful information about this tester and a three ring binder with all the tube data that is printed on thick quality paper. The line with a 6L6 in the socket is 6.16 volts on a DMM and a 6L6 that has a Gm of 5300 can be seen being tested with the same results on the 6000 scale as well as the 15000 scale. The 83 was tested on a 752 and the results were 1000/950 and 650 is the min. so it is a good tube ... morethat should last. The 5y3 was tested almost new. Please look at the pictures and you will see some chipping on a couple of sockets that in no way effect anything. They are not loose, they do not feel loose, and have no effect on testing tubes are still solidly in the tester. The pictures should help with the description. Up for bid is a Hickok built KS-15750-L1 tube tester. This machine is similar to the Hickok 539-c and was built for the Western Electric Company by Hickok and includes testing data for Western Electric tubes such as the 300B etc. both on the roll chart and in the supplementary tube data manual. Included in this sale are the following: The tester. A grid cap lead, a larger plate cap connector so you can build a lead that will allow you to check tubes such as an 811A without holding the grid cap lead to the plate cap(see picture) a copy of the operations manual and a copy of the Obsolete Supplementary Test Data Manual, and the Daven 4416B Self Bias Decade Resistor. In my opinion, the condition of this unit is very good both cosmetically and functionally. The cabinet is clean inside and out as is the tester itself. The face of the tester has ... moresome light scratching and the repainted cabinet has some scratches also(see pictures) All meters, switches and pots work well-roll chart does too. The only fault I could find with any of this is that the far left filament switch is a little stiff in a couple of positions, but I think that this is more from lack of use than anything. I deoxed it and lubed it and that helped. I tested tubes in what I think to be the most used sockets and had no problems with connectivity(specifically the octal, 4, 6, 7, 9, pin sockets) Taken all together, with the way the switches and pots work and given the tightness of the tube sockets plus no distinguishable wear around the thumbwheel for the chart roller I don't believe that this tester has had a great deal of use. Hickok 1575 Research and Development RD R&D Western Electric Tube Tester
Great tester but probably needs calibration. Comes as shown with book. All meters work fine and from what I can tell so do switches and controls. Sockets are tight. I don't think this has seen much use. I have had this for some time and just have not got to it. I was going to calibrate or have someone to calibrate the machine. Appears to be in great shape. No unusual smells or noises. Calibrate it yourself or send it to your tech.

VINTAGE HICKOK TUBE TESTER MODEL 600 - FIXER UPPER OR PARTS - POWERS UP, NO LID!
Up for auction is a vintage Hickok tube tester Model 600. This unit has a missing lid/cover. The 5Y3 and 83 tubes are in working order. But the 83 is probably on its last legs, just an FYI. The tubes are dated 0-43 and 0-50. The meter is in working order too. Some mounting screws are missing and the case has normal wear, scratches, and a few gouges. The scroll works and is dated 12-1-56. All knobs and switches are in tact and appear to be functional. I was able to power this unit up without any fuss as you can see in the pictures. I tested three different tubes.80. 6CG7, and 6F6G. After testing the three tubes, I found the readings a bit lower in comparison with my TV7 tester. The worst reading was the first side of the 6CG7 as this tube is in good condition(both sides) but came up with a false bad. 27 1958 RCA 12AU7 12AU7A ECC82 17mm LONG PLATE TUBES HICKOK TESTED
Hi and thanks for looking. This is a seller ships world wide auction and all are welcome to bid. A note first. If you saw this nits first and only time out. This is as cheap as it will be listed for. This is a grouping of tubes. Pulled from a Baldwin model 43 organ tone generator and these all have the same build, date code and lettering. These have 17 mm long gray plates. A D getter tacked to the plate material on top. These have the extra mica spacer on top. Note. These as a group were ultra dusty and it took me a whole day to clean them and, some lettering and date code is all but gone but, as a grouping, they cleaned up pretty good and most of the lettering and date code stuff is there and or legible enough to read, but on some, its gone so please keep it in mind when bidding. These tested pretty good on my Hickok, which is rare ... morefor these to do so as they only had average service life spans. 1 tube though had a section that I could not get to give me a reading and it maybe a pin that needs a little cleaning to get it to make contact. Tubes are tested on my Hickok 600A. Tester is given time to fully warm up before starting. With tube in socket. Meter is adjusted to the line test mark when needed. Each tube is then checked for shorts and gas. Any tubes showing shorts or gas are rejected. All like sections are tested in batch before testing next section. Tubes are tested using the micromhos scale and settings for this scale and readings are given in this scale. Tubes are tested with the dial set at the 3000 micromhos dot and used with the scale from zero to 3000 for micromhos readings. New tube average for a 12AU7 is 2200/2200 micromhos. Here is how they did; tube 1 2400/2450. Tube 2 2350/2450, tube 3 2400/2350, tube 4 2600/2350, tube 5 2400/2250. tube 6 2300/2450. It is in perfect working order. It has just been calibrated according to Daniel Schoo's instruction. Vintage Hickok Analog Dual Range 10-50 MA. Waite X-Ray Steampunk Porthole Meter
Here is an old Dual Range Milliamp Meter from a Waite X-Ray Machine. The meter is made by Hickok as Model 22. There are two ranges of 0-10ma. And 0-50ma. These are switchable via a lever on the rear of the meter. Connection is via the two radial mounting bolts. One nut is missing. The crescents visible on the face are a lighting reflection from the mirrored sides of the meter housing. This is a working meter with a DCR in the 10ma range of 42.2 ohms and in the 50ma range it is 12.8 ohms. The bakelite bezel measures about 8-1/2 inches across with a depth of 4 inches and a panel cutout of about 8-1/4 inches. The packed shipping weight is 9 lb. You are bidding on the Hickok unit, the oscilloscope is not part of the deal. What you are getting is a vintage Hickok signal generator that does produce wave patterns. Unlike some you might buy that your not sure of what your getting. The only thing that I noticed on it that need attention was the slip coupling for changing the frequency is a little loose. Hickok 6000A Tube Tester Nice Condition Works Great & Accurate
Hickok 6000A mutual conductance tube tester. Great working condition and can be seen in the photos in the line adjust position and testing a NOS 6L6 with accurate results. Average new value for a 6L6 is 5000 and tested 5300 which is very close to the reading on my calibrated TV7 and tested several other tubes also with great results. It has not been calibrated but I did check some of the voltages as per the calibration instructions in the manual which also is included with the tester and they were within range so I did not bother. The meter& panel are in excellent shape and all sockets are clean and tight and all knobs. Switches, buttons and roll chart work freely and as they should. The outer case has some nicks and scrapes but is in great shape compared to most I have seen. Insurance will be included in the shipping price. Case has some minor wear from normal use. But is still in good condition for its age. Tube setting roll chart at bottom is legible and lights up when power is turned on. What sets the 762A apart from other testers is the ability to test dual triodes such as 12AX7. 6DJ8, etc. without changing switch settings. You just push another switch. HICKOK 752 Mutual Conductance Tube Tester VG Condition/ Works/ Great for Audio Very nice Hickok model 752. These are the famous FAA type tube testers. Clean inside and out. Excellent panel and working roll chart. There is some normal wear around the roll chart thumb wheel and short switch otherwise looks great. The outer black fabric case is in much better shape than normally found. Please see the pictures for condition. Clean. Original chassis. Tested fine with several typical audio tubes. The 752 has some special features not found on most Hickok tube tester. One of these features is the ability to check double section tubes(like 12AX7) without resetting the selector switches to test the second triode. You simply push the"Plate 2" button and the quality of the second tube section is automatically registered on the meter. This ... moremakes this tester an ideal one for the audiophile market as audio equipment is typically loaded with double triodes. Hickock replaced the 539 with the 752. These still used the basic Hickok GM two tube circuit and the 752 was considered a laboratory tester and had additional functions such as the second grid setting and capability to test multistage tubes without reconfiguration. While this tester is working fine. it is highly recommended that the switches and contacts be cleaned and it be checked out by a qualified technician. Rural Mail Box Tie Clasp Hickok USA Great Gift For Your Postman Working Flag
This old tie clasp has a tiny rural style mail box on it that has a tiny flag that you can raise up and down like a real mailbox and is marked: U S MAIL" on the door. It is marked: Hickok U.S.A. on the back side. The Hickok Co. was in Rochester. N.Y. was started in 1948 and their trademark expired in 1992 so I assume that they are out of business, I do not know how old this is. The mailbox is silver colored and the clasp is gold colored. The whole thing is 2 inches long with the mailbox about 1/2 X 3/4 of an inch. I got two of these at the sale that I bought it at and gave one to the desk clerk where I mail most of the things that I sell and he seemed to like it a lot and wears it most of the time. Vintage WWII US Navy Radar Tech Hickok 133B Electrical Volt Ohm Test Multi-Meter Up for auction is a vintage WWII US Navy Aircraft Chief Radio Technician's Electrical Testing Meter Hickok Model 133B. This belonged to my Grandfather Robert M. Pappy" Watson who. In addition to being a Texas panhandle radio and television broadcaster of some note after WWII, was in the US Navy during the war. See final photo of his grave marker(grave marker is not included in this auction) This was his personal test set and I inherited it after his passing. He told me many interesting stories about riding along with pilots on checkout flights in whose aircraft he was installing this new technology that they called radar. After receiving this meter I removed the main panel and found a slight amount of corrosion due to the batteries still being installed. ... moreI removed the"D" cell and unsoldered the two smaller batteries so as to prevent any further damage. The insulation on the test leads themselves has become rather brittle over the years so the wires would need to be replaced for a the piece to be restored to working order. Untested and offered for sale in as is condition but I am confident that it could easily be brought back to working order. This item has a great deal of sentimental value, as I am sure you can imagine, but times are financially tough at the moment and I am sure he would understand and support the fact that I have decided to auction it off to help pay bills. The lid is hinged and removable. The lid also has a rather impressive crash course in electrical theory attached that is quite fascinating. Given the history surrounding this particular item and the connection to the very early days of radar this unit probably belongs in a museum. Hickok 533A Dynamic Mutual Conductance Tube Tester Calibrated and Ready to Use This Hickok 533A is a later model and uses precision resistors rather than the resistor spools that were in the older models. Information including the manual and tube data are readily available at no charge at Bama. All the specs were checked and the tester calibrated and the line voltage with a 6L6 in the socket is at 6.2 volts that will help ensure accurate test results. The current tube data on the roller is dated 1963. The two tubes in the tester. The 83 and 5Y3, are new and it has an updated grounded plug. The case is solid and does show wear on the tolex, but is still in good shape. Manufactured: circa MAY 1943 Condition: Unissued and unused. New old stock(NOS) A very strong QM gov't contractor ink stamping on the tail indicates: HICKOK. HICKOK MFG. Co. Inc. W-199, QM-33588. mfgr'ed circa MAY 1943- Correct original GREEN phosphate-finished retaining bite clips. Loop-thru adjusting buckle is STEEL and also green phosphate-finished. Leather sweatband section is supple. Unused and so CLEAN that its pinkish in color tone with only minimal signs of age from long term storage as seen in the photos. There is NO leather color dye bleeding into the Herringbone twill cloth section. Khaki SHBT in rare"single" V weave pattern on the cloth ... moresection. Hi and thanks for looking. There are shipping restrictions in the listing as to where I ship to. These were pulls from 4 Baldwin console organs I have picked up over the last few weeks. Here is a break down on what's here and a little further down is some more info; These are all 6SN7GTA chrome dome tubes with the typical black plate build with flat getter. With a dimple on it, on top and are welded to a copper rod. They all have the S shield and lightning bolt logo. Note. A few have factory smudged logos and double logos as well. Bases are all tight and guide pins are all there. Gettering on ALL looks very good. Some lettering and logos are fine but on a few. Its all but gone so keep it in mind when bidding. In this auction. Your bidding on 111 tubes and in that are, less 23 tubes, 3 distinct groupings by both date code and letter/number/letter ... morecodes, and, its the number code on the glass that is the true age of the tube and not the 3 digit date code. To this point. And approximately, there are 33 tubes with E4B 448 codes, another has 25 with J4B 518 codes and lastly a grouping of 30 with B4B 422 codes and again, I may have missed a code or 2 but this should be right on and the rest have varying, mostly 1954 glass codes and a few are from 1955 and 3 from 1953. These are not needed by me and are here so those that don't have. Can have. I have test results from my Hickok 600A below. And for this auction, are at the very bottom of the listing. These will be in boxes that will have test readings on the flap. Tubes are tested on my Hickok 600A. With tester fully warmed up. With tube in socket, meter is adjusted to the line test mark. Each tube is then checked for shorts and gas only as my 600A does not check for noise or microphonics. Any tubes showing shorts or gas are rejected. All like sections are tested in batch before testing next section. Hickok 750 Tester Calibrated & Everything Within Specs Works Great & 4 LB Tubes
Hickok 750 Calibrated& Everything is Within Specs Works Great All Original Hickok 750 Tube Tester This later model. Which is above serial numbers 149-10.000, has calibration adjustment pots that can be seen in the pictures. The original manual for this tester is included. As well as the Obsolete Tube Types supplement, and the condensed reprint of the roll chart that includes older tubes not on the roll chart. Went through all the calibration steps and checked all the voltage specifications and they were all virtually perfect. The picture with the DMM is showing the line voltage for a 6L6 set at 6.3 volts. And with the 6L6 in the socket the line voltage reads 6.2 volts which is exactly where it should be. The line voltage being correct is critical to obtain proper Gm test results. Many Hickok testers can still be calibrated, but with a ... moretube in the socket the line voltage drops under 6 volts and you get low Gm test readings. The pictures also show a 6L6 calibration tube tube that tests with the exact Gm as the tube and a 6AX7 with that also tests with the correct Gm. The 6L6 is tested for Gm on E, the 15,000 range, the 6AX7 on D the 6000 range, of the function switch(which provides the correct signal voltage) as per the tube data. This is an exceptional Hickok 750 that does not have the typical wear signs around certain knobs and switches and will be delivered ready to use. It is all original with the exception of the 83 and 5y3GT tubes which are as good as new RCA tubes. The Original cord is in great shape and something that can easily be upgrade to a grounded plug. There is a roll chart from 1963 and a manual for this later model of 750 available for free at Bama. The case is in nice shape with some minor marking on the outside and it has the latch to keep the lid open rather than have to take it off. The unit weighs 23 pounds unpacked and we only charge the actual shipping cost and do not add any additional charges for handling or whatever. And there are four pounds in additional tubes. This is a lot of vintage/antique items. I have no idea how old they are. Descriptions. Top to Bottom, Left to Right: Rectangle Box has a round sticker on the bottom that says BTS Group. Made in USA. The box is 6.75 x 3.75 x 1.375. HICKOK Jewelry Box has a red cover. Coin purse is worn and has a hole on the front towards the bottom. Clasp works. Cameo trinket box/pill box has no identification. Clasp works but is a little tricky. Little Leather Library is the COVER ONLY. The rest of the book is missing. It says The Rubaiyat of Omar Khayyam. Trinket box says Frankpurt on it. No other identification. The clasp is broken. None of the items are in perfect condition. All have rub marks or worn areas.

Hickok 6000 Tube Tester Calibrated& All Within Specs 50 Tubes& 6L6 Included Hickok 6000 Dynamic Mutual Conductance Tube Tester Information including the manual. Calibration procedures, and updated tube data are readily available at no charge at Bama and elsewhere. All the specs were checked and the tester calibrated and the line voltage with a 6L6 in the socket is at 6.2 volts that will help ensure accurate Gm test results. The two tubes in the tester are both RCA, 83 and 5Y3, were new in 10/2013 and both tested and balanced. This tester did not come with this case and is held down with only four screws although in the original case all ten were used. The plate on the case goes to this tester and the cases and plates were swapped with another tester. We did not plan on selling this tester and the appearance of the case was unimportant ... moreas long as the tester functioned properly. All the specs were checked and the tester calibrated in 10/2013 and has been used little since. Notes during the calibration were recorded on a blank page in the manual. We use an outside source for the calibration tube and the tester is reading 5400 for Gm and the tube calls for 5475. This could be easily corrected. And according to the calibration procedures, the shunt dial would be tagged about one number or so lower to show 5475, but that has not been done and will be left up to the new owner. The calibration tube's Gm reading is from a 533A and from a very reputable and trusted source. The Hickok 6000 series is fairly simple to calibrate and instructions on calibration. The manual, and updated foreign and domestic tube data is readily available at no charge. The calibration can be done using a DMM as long as shunts are used and this tester was calibrated using both an analog and DMM. This tester has a pot to set the line voltage and with a 6L6 in the socket the line is at 6.2 volts which is where it needs to be.
