Please make sure if you have a model 600 or 600A. The bias settings are different. I also have the 600A manual listed in my Ebay store. This is a very nice comb-bound reprint of the instruction manual for the Hickok 600 tube tester AND MUCH MORE. There are now 85 pages in this book. I got the original from a retired Army Signal Corps officer. He spent the last 40 years compiling this information. The first section(11 pages) is the regular operator's manual including several pages of data for testing ballast tubes. Calibration instructions, and a big 11x17" fold-out schematic. I have added 8 pages of calibration& maintenance info contributed by friends. The next section is a copy of the roll chart for the 532-533-533DM-534-534A-534B-600 testers. Code Number 3200-44 dated 11-1-1961(23 pages) This will save a lot of wear& tear ... moreon your roll chart. Hickok data supplements included: Bulletin T-101 dated 9-11-1950(1 page) covers 27 sub-miniature tubes. Bulletin T-103 dated 11-15-1950(2 pages) covers about 60"Obsolete" tubes not included on the roll chart. Most are two digit. Bulletin T-123 dated 10-01=1954(1 page) covers 29 tubes not included in the roll chart. Bulletin T-127 dated 9-15-1955(1 page) covers 32 tubes. Next is an amazing 4 page section where he actually created correct test data for tubes that Hickok never provided data for. Both of these sections he created were done for the 800A. So the switch positions are correct but for some tubes the bias settings may vary a bit on the 600. Up for sale is a Weston 686 10a tester. This is the Holy Grail of tube testers. A lot of people prefer this tester over the Hickok 539c. Overall its in Excellent condition. As you see in the pictures the paint is very good and the inside looks like it just came out of the factory. Electrically this unit workst but it will need a calibration to work properly. Remenber this unit is 50+ years old. I bought this from a retired electrical engineer who had it in storage for the last 30yrs. I did test a few tubes in it and all the features seem to work correctly but remember I'm NO expert on tube testers. You can see in the pictures that are white mica. See the green tone pins valves. Always clean the pins of the valves of my stock. I let this go you see in the picture. The cover has a few nicks but overall looks great. The latches and hinges have a small amount of corrosion due to age but are in good working order. The handle is strong and firmly attached to the case. Internally. The roll chart thumbwheel turns with ease, chart information is crisp/clear and the factory grid/plate test lead with cap is intact. Each cufflink is a hexagon, shaped into a 3 dimensional box with a rhinestone on the top. One cufflink is missing a rhinestone. See last photo for details. Hickok 799 Mutual Conductance Tube Tester- Works Great- Calibrated& Clean Hickok 799 Mustang Dynamic Mutual Conductance Tube Tester Looks great. Works great, and calibrated. The Hickok 799 Mustang is Hickok's only Solid State tube tester that they produced. This particular unit has had one upgrade which is a new capacitor on the meter. The one removed was good and will be included. The tester is calibrated per the calibration instructions and works perfect. The unit itself is in great condition as you can see in the pictures. The Hickok 799 Mustang includes the instruction manual(dated 1965) and tube data that is in addition to the tube data on the unit itself. The tester does measure micromhos but does not provide a direct number for micromhos and uses a good and bad scale for Gm with numbers up to 1000. You can still match tubes ... morewith this unit. The tube being tested in the pictures is a 6L6 calibration tube with 5475 Gm. The P1 button tests tubes for Gm that should have a reading up to 5000 micromhos and the P2 button tests tubes for Gm that should have a reading up to 20.000 micromhos. It is a beautiful tube tester and it is a true Hickok that tests Gm. Take a look at the pictures of the inside and you will see it is all Hickok and beautifully constructed.
