ITEM(S) FOR AUCTION This auction is for a vintage 1950’s Hickok Model 532 Dynamic Mutual Conductance Tube Tester in working condition. It needs a good surface cleaning and probably an interior cleaning as well. I have not opened up the face of it. The power light comes on and all the knobs are functioning as far as I can tell. As is the“rolling” graph or chart at the bottom. I don’t know how to use the equipment and there is no manual, so this unit is being sold“AS IS” with the power-up feature working as shown. I got the needle on the Dynamic Mutual Conductance gage to move by accidentally turning one of the knobs when it was powered up. The manuals shown were found inside the unit and consist of a GE Electronic’s Essential Characteristics 302 page manual and a Hickok Adapter chart. There is also a Hickok CRT adapter and a Vibrator Test ... moreAdapter as shown in the photo. There is also some sort of socket on a wire coming out of the top of the control box and two orange sockets of some sort as shown in the photo. I have shown the power light working in the second photo. Since this is an electronic unit it will be covered with $100 insurance(figured in shipping) If you want more insurance it will be your expense and added as you please. Hickok Model 539A True Mutual Conductance Tube Tester - No Reserve
Here for your consideration is a Hickok Model 539A True Mutual Conductance Tube Tester. This is one of the best Tube Testers ever made. This one was well used and was probably the service call tube tester as the cabinet has quite a few scrapes and nicks that are now covered by Black Duct Tape. But the cabinet did a nice job of protecting the tube tester. This large 19” x 17” x 8” tester has 9 sockets and covers 4 pin, 5 pin, 6 pin, 7 pin, acorn, octal, loctal, 7 pin miniature, and 9 pin miniature. It has tube socket savers in the octal, 7 pin miniature, and 9 pin miniature sockets. I took this to my Tech friend Tom, and he replaced the pilot lamp and the 2 electrolytic capacitors. This should be ready for years of use. Below are few negative side of the item: The tube roll chart damaged. I replaced with tube chart in operation manual which included. Mercury evaporate Rectifier tube 83 has been replace with 5z3 tube. This will need re-calibrate to get correct Mutual Conductance reading(meter indicated lower than normal) Other than above issues. TV-2C/U Military Army Tube Tester TV-2(Hickok) Working Great Condition This is the granddaddy of all the military-grade tube-testers. I purchased this straight from the original owner a year or two ago. It is in amazing un-molested condition with the original documentation. I have printed an additional chart for tube test settings. The roller chart is intact and works. This unit is very easy to use once you get the hang of it. You just dial in the settings according to the different columns. The meters all respond and appear to be accurate. I have not performed a calibration as the unit appeared not to need one since I received it. The manual details the process of how to do this if ever necessary. You will notice that the meter reads percent quality instead of Gm. I would advise just putting two new in. I never needed to use this so I left it alone. As you can see in two of the pictures I was able to test some tubes for you. Up for your consideration is this vintage Hickok tube tester(model 533A) Known to be last working fine. Before the bias pot was removed for replacement- which never happened. The faulty pot was discarded and is not included. Easy to install. Last calibrated about ten years ago. Clean face, no major blemishes or issues except what can be seen on the OUTSIDE of the case(see pics) Simple to use micromhos meter with good or bad readout makes testing tubes so easy a child could do it! All the buttons and knobs operate smoothly as well! Also included is a Spring 1969 chart update scroll for this model! Antique Hickok Volt Meter Model 14-B with probes
Antique Hickok Voltmeter Measures approx. 5+1/2" tall by6+3/4" wide by 3" deep. Condition wise pretty good. No cracks or breaks in either the case or glass covering the meter. Meter face is clean and clear. Mirror is unbroken and clear. Needle floats freely. The leather handle is not attached to the lower part of the case(see pic) Case is scuffed up and scratched as shown in pictures. Brass plates all attached securely. Both anode caps are attached and screw on easily. The probes outer wire insulation is deteriorating(see pics) and in poor condition. Didn't test the unit but I suspect it works.

Hickok model 6000A micromha tube tester 115 volt 50 60
This is for a Hickok model 6000A micromha tube tester. This tester looks to be in very good condition. I know nothing about these so ill describe the best I can. The only fault I see is a little wear on the red outside of the case. I did not plug the tester in because I would not know what happens anyway. I can not imagine it not working as clean as it is. I bought this at a recent estate sale.The previous owner had several testers.This one was in a box and was very dirty.I gave is a cursory wipe down,checked to see if it had tubes,put a fuse bulb in it and tried to power it up. Nothing. The 83 tube doesn't look too good and I don't have another one so that's the only testing that was done to it. I don't have time for another project so I'm passing it along. A few things I noticed: First off.This tester does not power up! The meter needle seems to move freely and when the adjustment screw is turned it does move. It is entirely subjective anywhere in the scale except for perhaps 0.5 and 10.0( and even those are subject to debate, perhaps 1.0 or 9.8) I will at a minimum scan the cover and back ... moreof the comic with no cropping, no angles etc. I would rather not sell a comic than debate after the fact about perception of grade. As far as valuation I pay no attention to Overstreet. Before I list any comic I look on ebay and other sites to determine#1 the availability of the comic and#2 the prices being charged. I have a concept of the different ranges in a given grade, look at what is available and try to list a cheaper price than what else is available in an apples for apples situation. I do not pay any attention to firesale auctions( somrtimes I buy them) obvious mistakes etc. I do give a generic opinion of the degree of wear of the comic being listed and as stated above provide at least 2 scans. If you are comfortable looking at stock pictures and buying based on the sellers assigned grade, what I do probably has no value, other than I do try to set my prices at less than what is an apples for apples situation using my imagination trying to imagine what the comparison comic looks like. Up for auction is a model number KS-15750-L2 tube tester made for Western Electric by Hickok. It is being sold as-is and untested(untestable due to the frozen switch) It is missing the rectifier tubes. The roll chart and many of the front panel screws. The short/tube test switch is frozen solid. All other switches and pots move freely. The filament switch is a little gummy feeling. It feels like the shaft needs lubricating. The case paint is scratched, stained and oxidized and the front panel needs cleaning. Note: Those things that look like drops of rain on the front panel are drops of rain on the front panel. Just started to rain when I took the pictures, it is pouring now! The sun was out when I took the rest of the pictures so nothing got wet underneath. This is saying goodbye to an old friend. I’ve owned this baby since the early 1970’s. Built like a tank and well shielded. Basically it works but there are a few issues. The 400 cycle modulation does not work– I think it needs a new 6SN7. The output drops some on the 70-120 MC band. But other wise all seems OK– when it went into storage I thought it was working. The output is reasonably accurate across the frequency span. When set at 100,000 uV I read 6.02 dB(it should be 7 dB) given its age that is remarkably accurate. We did give the cabinet a fresh overcoat of hammertone gray. I sold off my tube stock earlier this year or I would have replaced the tubes. I know it is using the same set since I’ve owned it. It used to run along on my work bench in the late 1970s through about 1992 and was never turned off. It is very stable once set. The ... morecrystal oscillator works and I’ve included a 1-MHz crystal(the wire pins don’t quite fit– but it stays in) I had to order a manual for it– there isn’t one on line. The nameplate says R&D Instruments but on that label and under it says Hickok 295X. It is heavy– this really should not go international because of the size and weight. The box is heavy cardboard and is 24X24X13 and 45 pounds. It is packed within heavy bubble wrap and then 2-inch Styrofoam– the box and foam cost $15 so there is a International handling charge on this item. Hickok Brass Bookbinding Typeholder for Lettering of Spines
W. O. Hickok self-centering typeholder in excellent condition. Brass with wood handle. 5/8" depth. Will take 5" of type. 9 3/4" tall, 11" wide from screw to screw. Also includes a front screw for applying pressure to the center of the line. The thumb screw is not brass and is likely a replacement. This is in pristine enough condition(both the wood handle and the brass) that it may of much newer construction than the old name of Hickok might suggest. It seems to me that someone had resurrected several Hickok items, including a backing press and the typeholder, which if I recall correctly, went for about $600 twenty years ago. A necessary tool for lettering spines in the round with brass. Lead, or service type, it can also be used for the lettering of flat surfaces in lieu of a KwikPrint type of machine. Holds heat well ... moreand the brass can be water-cooled to proper temperature quickly without rusting. An extra in limited use in our bindery(The Gilded Leaf: Fine Bookbinding& Restoration in Maryville, Tennessee) so offered here for sale. This is in incredible condition and came from an estate with other working items including a Seco Tester which works great. So it is assumed to be working. Here is a vintage Hickok model 209A VTVM vacuum tube voltmeter and capacitance capacitor tester meter. In good to VG physical condition, and sort-of-working electrical condition- both the"center zero" and regular"zero" functions work fine, meter needle moves smoothly and evenly throughout entire range, all tubes test strong, and all components(except power cord) look original so may well need some replacing of out-of-spec capacitors and resistors, so selling as a to-repair set- but you're off to a good start with this one. No probes or paperwork. Very large and fairly heavy, they don't make'em like this anymore, and the huge analog meter can be seen across any room!

This Hickock counter table top display point of sale and storage box has a top slide out section for display and a larger bottom draw for stock. All appears to be original finish and materials and has held several miniatures for display for my own purposes for a while now. The boat needs another part and so here it is for your purchase! Attractive wooden table top display case used by the Hickok Company out of Harrisburg. Pennsylvania. This company founded in 1844 made measuring tools such as rulers and drafting items. On the front of this case there is a metal sign that says, Hickok” On the back the paper label is still present, it reads, This fixture is the Property of the Hickok Mfg. Co. It is mutually agreed that it shall be used for the display of Hickok Merchandise only” This case displays a beautiful patina and has two drawers that ... moreopen from the back, one for the items displayed and another one for storage. Measures 13 1/4 wide 10 inches deep and 4 inches high at front and 6 inches high at back. The wood is a nice patinated mahogany the shelf in the display is made of early hardboard. Instead of the original 2 prong cord it has been replaced with a 3 prong cord without the 3rd pin. Outer case shows wear but handle and hinges are fine and work as they should. Pair Vintage NOS Men’s Sock Garters Hickok New Original Box Brown
Offered is an unused pair of vintage men’s sock garters made by Hickok. These come in the original box. The garters are dark brown elastic and lighter brown leather. With brass fittings. I do not know the age, but the printed price is 75 cents. The box is 3 ¼ by 4 ¾ by ½ inch. And weighs about an ounce. These garters are in excellent unused condition. I have not removed them from the cardboard backing, but they seem to have retained their stretchiness. The box and cardboard backing are toned. The box has a small tear in the cellophane, there is a water stain on the back, the top flap is bent and there is a pencil mark on the flap. Please refer to photos to judge condition for yourself.
