Both have two Fire King glass 9" x 5" x 2 5/8" loaf pans(1 quart each) that sit in the ornate brass and copper stand with black plastic(bakelite? handles and are kept warm by a tea candle beneath each pan. Gorgeous brilliant orange lava frosted mid cent ury Hull fondue pot or chafing dish. Pot measures about 8" in diameter at top. Top of lid knob to table including s tand is aprx. 8 1/2" This is a great statement piece but it's not perfect. The stand is excellent with no chips or cracks. I love the shape of it. The lid is also without chips or cracks. Unfortunately the pot itself has 2 flaws. There is an exterior crack running aprx. 2 1/2" down from lip. You can f eel it and you can see it. It does not run thru to interior of pi ece. Please see the pics showing both exterior with crack and interior witho ut crack. The other flaw is a painted over chip on the ha ndle corner. See pic. VINTAGE FRENCH- TIME WORN TREASURES This is a stunning antique French Ruolz silverplated hot plate or Chauffe Plat as it is referred to in French. It is far more attractive than I have managed to capture in the photographs and will look stunning on a dining table. It is in two pieces. With the lid for sitting the dishes on and the base. Which would have contained the little oil heaters. They are no longer with the item but it will work equally well and without the smell of oil. With two small T lights fitted into the little sections. It has beautiful little circular bun shaped legs and wonderful foliate handles that take the form of acanthus leaves- gorgeous. It is in great condition with some small marks of usage as is only to be expected from something of this age. Which will date to the late 1800's. I have not cleaned this item. So ... moreit will clean up considerably. It is a thing of beauty and will add fabulous French elegance to your dining table. I have seen these items used to stunning effect. Not as a food warmer but with large wax candles adorning its silverplate surface at a drinks party and it certainly had the wow factor. It is stamped on the base with PDE. Ruolz and the makers mark, that I believe to be SJ with a raised hand between. The measurements are as follows: 10¼"in diameter. This vintage piece from metalsmiths working predominately in pewter looks as though it was made for a pot which would have been in the Danish Modern style; as were many of their pieces. The logo/trademark building shown on top cap of burner and added to it on bottom the words"METAWA HOLLAND TRADEMARK" enlarge pic) identifies this as a vintage period piece and though not include here. The pot which was originally issued in the set would have also been copper and brass; perhaps even having a wood handle as the coffee services and others seen on Ebay. Pot-rest is 6" diameter, warmer stands about 4 3/8" tall on 3 hairpin style legs each 8" apart. Alcohol burner is held 1/2" off table and about 1 1/2" beneath pot. This auction is for a vintage silverplate covered chafing set. This lot was manufactured by F.B. Rogers. The imprint on the bottom of the burner reads as follows: Trade Mark 1883 F.B. Rogers Silver Co. Silver Plate 1144 The set consists of a burner. A stand, a bowl, a shallow pan, and a lid. The burner is metallic throughout. And measures about 4” in diameter. It has a key-like apparatus coming out through one side, and a lid which raises to expose a wick. The stand is decorated with ornate floral designs. With three legs and openings at the top(for the cookware) and bottom(for the burner) It stands about 6 1/2” tall. The bowl is shallow– approximately 8 3/4” in diameter and less than 2 1/2” deep. It is slightly rounded at the bottom. The saucepan is even more shallow– approximately 10 1/2” in diameter and less than 2” deep. It has a beautiful ... moredesign around its borders. And a 7” wooden handle. The cover has a domed shape and a floral design on the looped handle. It reaches up to 4 1/2” tall Altogether. The set weighs a little over 6 pounds. It stands a foot tall. This chafing set is used. And it does have some signs of wear. All of the pieces have surface scratches, abrasions, and some discoloration. The lid has a significant amount of tarnish on its exterior– the top of the cover actually appears to be brass, it has darkened so much. The bottom of the stand, where the burner operates, is noticeably discolored as well. this is an exquisite vintage copper and brass 5 piece chafing dish pan/ pot warmer. it has beautiful Art Deco detailing and is made from very thick heavy copper and brass. quality piece. the base has 3 nice curved thick solid brass legs and in the middle a burner would go. there is a burner housing made from brass and the control or the flame is operated by a wooden knob on the side that opens and closes a brass door. the base also has a knob that opens and closes holes to release heat from underneath. the base holds a bowl which would be used for water to heat. And on top of that the pan sits which is covered with a nice copper lid and a nice wooden, ball shaped finial. it also has a nice wooden handle with a brass mount riveted to the pan. the piece is in good shape and measures 17 3/4 x 11 1/2 inches it has a wonderful patina from age. ... moreThe pan itself has a worn lining refer to pics. Vintage 6 piece copper asian rice/food warmer chafing dish. it is a complete burner with all parts. it is completely made of copper which has a great shiny polished finish. it has heavily embossed with beautiful floral foliage and lettering. the bowl it sits in has a nice engraved scene of an asian village with a floral trim and the burner and housing sit in the middle of the bowl. a candle or a sterno burner is meant to be used on this piece. the pot sits on top of the burner housing and fits nicely. Up for auction is a used 9-quart stainless steel Chafing Dish/ Chafer manufactured by Tramontina. Used only a couple times and in excellent condition.
