Single pole switch closes with rise in level making it great for a high alarm sensor. 8" long down rod is made of brass(electrically common with one connector tab at terminal) Float appears to be PVC. Detachable connector is poly with gasket, would be rainrproof or wash down able if used with the right wire cable. There are no identifying words or part numbers, this could have been made by Gem Switch. They were know for not placing part numbers on devices years ago, however they made and still make great products. Rexroth might also be a possible maker, I beleive this was for a hydraulic application. There is adjustability of the snap rings that might provide reversal of the switching action.
