The HP83592C plug-in appears to work ok in Band(0) 10MHz to 2.4GHz. However the power falls of significantly after that and it appears that from 2.4GHz to 20GHz the RF plug-in does NOT work properly in Bands(1,2 and 3) Therefore I am selling BOTH of these items for PARTS or REPAIRS. This RF plug-in has rear panel RF output this can be changed if one wishes to front panel output without too much work. For Sale Qty 1 Sweep Generator Plug in H89-8699B. Sold with only one plastic frequency scale for the 2 to 4 GHz range. This unit is similar tp the HP8699B for the HP 8690 type Mainframes but the Output connector is in the rear. The 2 to 4 GHz frequency range works fine. Means that the YIG Tuned Oscillator works) The Plug-in unit had a problem with the amplifier used for the 0.1 to 2 GHz range. I replaced the amplifier with two MiniCircuits model ZFL-2000(10 to 2000 MHz amplifiers) This provides enough gain and power to get the output signal to-13 dBm +/ 1 dB. I used an external broadband amplifier and was able to easily get the output leveled to +10 dBm see last picture. Markers are shown at 500 and 1500 MHz.The harmonics and non-harmonics are down at least 30 dBc. Because of the repair made.
