Zimmer Pneumatic Double Tourniquet System for Hand Surgery
I am a Plastic Surgeon and have used this Zimmer Double Tourniquet System for several years. It is totally reliable and pleasantly simple to use. It must be connected to a black E-tank of Nitrogen or compressed air for power. The only problem we have encountered is if we leave the system on without turning the tank off we loose air. But this is very simple to avoid by staff traiing and keeping a spare tank. The control box in the second picture shows the air pressure available in the tank, the pressure to inflate the tourniquet and the"on and off" switch. The switches on the double cuff allows for changing pressure from one cuff to the other, providing increased patient comort.
