Original Viet-Nam era cateen set. Nylon cover is dated 1971. Has a small pocket on the side. H2O purification tablets are NOT INCLUDED in the auction. Aluminum cup has bi-fold handle and is US marked with maker WCW. Plastic canteen is 1976 dated and has the adapter cap so it can be used while wearing the M-17 gas mask. Up for auction is what I believe is a 1963-1964 US Cover Water Canteen with the Hamill Steel water cup with it. Here is some information on the canteen: Written on the Canteen cover it says: USA-1-6764 8485-577-4925(from some angles this is hard to read. So I am posting it. Written on the water cup it says: U.S. Hamill MFG. CO. INC. 1963- Written on the Canteen itself it says: U.S. 1964 ABCON. Then AC in abox on the bottom. Original 1921 Enameled Porcelain Water Bottle ~ Canteen ~ Post WWI. Up for auction is this 1921 tan enameled water bottle/canteen. This style of water bottle was used in world War I and is a post-war production. I have been unable to identify the nationality of the maker. It is stamped on the front along with the date"1921" but some of the letters appear to be missing. From the letters remaining it reads"H a spol" If anyone out there is able to identify the maker. Please contact me and I will be happy to add the information to the listing. The bottle measures 8" in length not including the stopper. There are two metal brackets along each side at the top. The stopper is original and still retains the original cork. The inside of the bottle is white enamel. The CONDITION of this enamel canteen is EXCELLENT. What I have listed is a lot of Boy Scout items including two mess kits and one water canteen. They all have canvas. Some of them have rips. The two mess kits are both complete. One has the Boy Scouts of America stamp and the other is made by cello. The cello one has J. Billings written on it. Both are for Boy Scouts and are aluminum. They have some scratches and some dents in the pieces but they are very old. The Boy Scouts of America one has a patent date of 1915. The other item is a water canteen that is also an official Boy Scouts of America item. It is in good condition but there is a spot on it that was welded. All the damage is shown in the photos. Handcarved, Handpainted Signed Leather & Wood Water Canteen Southwest Decor!
Item is a handcrafted and handcarved wooden canteen or water vessel. The wooden vessel seems to have been hollowed out. And there are carved designs on the body of the canteen itself. I did not find any seams in the wood, so it seems that this was made from one piece of wood not including the neck or base. These parts were attached to the main portion of the canteen. There is a leather cover of sorts that fits tightly over the canteen which is held together by riveting. There is a leather carrying strap which is approximately 36" long with the middle portion being braided pieces of leather. The mouthpiece has a stopper of wood(also one piece) which fits into the mouth. The stopper is held to the canteen by a section of bronze colored chain. This is an interesting item that has a South American flair to it, but I am not sure of what country ... moreit originated from.or if it was made in the USA by an artisan skilled in this type of work. This piece is dated on the base of the feet with 86, so I am assuming this means 1986. That would make it 27 years old. There is also a signature by the craftsman, but I cannot make it out clearly. In late WW1 the Germans did use lace rather than the poppers as materials were running low. However it does also look like the WW1 Finnish bottles alot of whom served alongside the Germans. It is in good condition but does have some signs of wear. The bolt from the cap top is missing but this is just a standard bolt. It is marked what looks like LOT ESSEN 1917. You are bidding on a Original 1942 Army Canteen with Cover in excellent used condition. Stamped on the Canteen is U.S A. G. M. CO. 1942 Has some dents as is to be expected. Comes with original Cork on lid that is attached by a chain to the top of the Canteen. Cover is made of Heavy Duty Olive Drab Canvas and is in remarkable shape with no damage. Both lift dot snaps on closure flab work great still very tight fitting. Interior insolation is in intact with some expected wear. Overall this is in excellent condition for it's age. I was told by another ebayer that the Canvas Cover might be more from 1956-1966 since it has the sliding clips or Alice clips? I don't know. Imprinted on Front of Canvas Cover is US. Comes with original metal belt hooks. Underneath there is a bunch of imprinted writing. I can make out" Cover Water Canteen ... moreM. WW1 British Water Canteen and Leather 1914 Patt Harness
This is a WW1 blue enamel water canteen with original cork stopper and accompanied by a scarce 1914 pattern leather harness. This item is a sleeper.The canteen does not appear to have any cloth cover but is a neat fit in the harness and the enamel has a couple of corrosion patches but nothing serious.The cork stopper is original and the spindle holding it has surface corrosion that is light and would probably clean easily.The leather harness is in extremely good condition and appears unmarked except for the initials KS written on the inside.The two suspension rings again have light corrosion.

I don't think these items have ever been used. However the metal parts on the belt have oxidized somewhat, see pictures. The bottle and its holder still look like new. I don't know what period they belong to, they have been with us about ten years.
