They both show rusting to the saw blades but in overall good vintage condition. There are 2 saws. The longer of the two has teeth on both sides of the blade with the top edge having fine teeth. The blade measures 14 1/2" in length and 20" overall and the blade measures 2" at the widest point. The blade does have a slight bow and the handle looks like the screw was replaced at some point. The other saw has a 12 1/4" blade and is 15 1/2" overall with a carved handle. There is just one edge with teeth. Up for auction is a lot of two Vintage Hand Saws. I am not an expert or collector in this at all. But this was part of a“blind” lot that I got at an auction. The saw at the top in the photo is a Disston Townsman model; the bottom one is of undetermined manufacture. Both have rust on the blades; it appears that someone has tried to clean the rust on the Disston saw. Both of the saws show wear from age and use. Three vintage hand saws. 2 Disston and 1 Warrented Superior in used but good condition. All three have 26 inch blades and teeth seem to be in good shape, no missing teeth. One of the Disston saws has a plastic handle and missing button, but still signed Disston. The other Disston saw seems to be older and has a sort of rounded blade on the back, signed Disston with button. The last is a Warrented Superior saw and has a lite damage on the top of the handle. Thanks for looking at this vintage Warranted Superior hand saw. The blade is rusty but straight and has 11 teeth per inch. The ornately carved wooden handle is in decent condition. No cracks. Overall a very nice older crosscut saw.

Two nice old saws. Both are 26" and both are straight. The C. E.Jennings is a straight backed 6 PPI that is sharp with a good handle. The Majestic is a skew backed saw that measures out to be a 6 PPI also. It has a real nice handle. But does need to be sharpened.

3 Vintage hand saws one is Disston all in good shape
3 good old hand saws. Sharp! handles are good, one is missing a name button but that don't effect how it works! The Disston measures 26" just blade with handle it's 29" long x 6 1/4" at the widest part of the blade to 2 1/8 at the end. The middle one without the name measures, 25 1/2" long without handle, about 29" with 6" wide at the widest, 1 3/4" wide at the end. The shortest one has a stamp on the blade that reads Vulcan, I think can't read all of the button on the handle? it measures 22" long x 5" wide and 2" wide at the end. All 3 are 8 TPI, good working saws. WILL SEPARATE if you just want one.

Imprinted on the blade is Disston and Challenger II. Handle has a carved design on it. 2) The other is a wood handle and no carved design. 2 Vintage Hand Saws Diamond Edge DE and Waranted Superior
You are bidding on 2 vintage saws for one money. The diamond edge has a clear marking. The handle is in worn condition but it comes complete. It has scratches and marks of a well used saw. The 26" blade has some rust and marks but has all of it's teeth. A nice piece for it's age. The warranted superior is in rough shape. The horn and brass protector on the bottom is missing. One of the screws have been replaced with an ugly nut and bolt. The blade is 26" long and at it's widest is 7" The blade has all of it's teeth but is very rusty and not in good condition. This is a lot of 5x Vintage Carpenters saws. All very collectible& hard to find. All are functioning, but show some rust from age& 2 have slight bend. They all have teeth intact and are pretty sharp. TWO Antique DISSTON Split Nut EAGLE MEDALLION HAND SAWS for Parts or Restoration
TWO OLD HAND SAWS- PLEASE SCROLL DOWN TO SEE PHOTOS- Two antique Disston crosscut saws in fair used condition. Overall lengths with handles are 29 3/4 and 30 inches. Good for parts or restoration. The smaller saw has a cutting edge slightly over 25 3/4 inches long. Blade is approximately 3/4 inch tall near the toe and 5 3/4 inches tall at the heel. 10 p.p.i. The larger saw has a 25 7/8 inch cutting edge. 1 7/8 inches tall near the toe and 6 3/8 inches tall at the heel. 8 p.p.i. Dirty. As-found. Both plates have lots of thin rusty"patina" scratches& scrapes, a few paint smears, etc. No easily visible etchings or stampings. No thick raised rust and no visible significant pitting, though shallow corrosion might be revealed by a cleaning. Plates are both slightly wavy. No significant bends or kinks. Teeth are all intact, though ... morethey could use a little sharpening. Wood is in rough condition. Upper horn on the small saw has been completely broken-off and there is a chunk missing from the lower horn. Horns on the larger saw are chewed-up and there is a partial split at the medallion. Split nuts are worn and full of grunge. Paint, etc. see photos below) Eagle medalions are in good condition. Old Used Tools,{2} Disston D-8 Hand Saws W/Dual Grip Handles 1896-1917 & Bonus
Up for sale is this lot of{2} H.Disston& Sons D-8 skew back dual handled. Five nut hand saws. I know very little about hand saws, but my research of the dual handles with the five nuts and thumb holes dates these in the period between the 1880's and 1940's, and research of the brass medallions more accurately puts them in the time period of 1896-1917. At any rate, they're about 100 years old.The first has a 26" blade measuring 5-3/4" at the widest point and 1-7/8" at the narrowest point with 6 points per inch, a faint etching on the blade, and a handle{apple wood according to research} that is intact but very worn. The second also has a apple wood handle that has a horn broken off as pictured, and a 26" blade measuring 6-1/2" at its widest point and 2-1/2" at the narrowest point with a faint etching ... moreand 5-1/2 points per inch. As a bonus, there is a Superior Warranted saw that was with this lot, that has an intact handle with a 24-3/8" blade measuring 5" at its widest point and 1-3/4" at its narrowest point with{4} brass nuts, a brass medallion, and 7 points per inch.
