CFC Photo 1941 Christmas Card 1942 13 Co Canadian Forestry Corps Black Native
For consideration are two items related to No. 13 Company. Canadian Forestry Corps, while stationed in Scotland during WW2. The first is a photo dated 1941. It shows the members of the company& has been folded down to a postcard size. A number of the members of the unit are black& native Canadian. Only the name, George H Graham, is written on the reverse. There are old pieces of tape holding the entire photo together. The corners also appear to have been trimmed. When folded out it measures app. 15& one half inches. The 2nd item is a Christmas card from the unit& there is a message on the reverse from a soldier named Willis to family members. Hi! You are bidding on a set of 4 posters/ flyers/ signs made by the American Forestry Association in 1924. They are each 11" by 13" and are printed on heavy card stock. Each has a cartoon and a poem on them that advertise ways to prevent forest fires and the evils of forest fires. These posters are in great condition for their age. There is some yellowing. 3 of them have no other major condition problems aside from yellowing. The fourth has a crease on the right top corner. They have never been hung and thus have no nail holes or tape marks. A great set of collectibles!
