In mid 1999 I started a business selling new& used shipping containers in Fort Worth Texas to farmers and ranchers as an alternative to building a pole barn or permanent structure on their property where they would be taxed on the structure. I specialized in new one trip models considered at that time as unique and sometimes referred to as odd ball variants like. Doors on both ends, double door 20 ft. double door 40 ft. a 20 ft. European high cube 9 ft. 6 inches tall container, and steel floor 20 ft. containers. Among the new one trip models I received in late 2003, I received(2) units that were called a"Combi-tainer" they were shipped as(2) 10 ft. containers welded back to back with steel plates in between them, it equaled a standard 20 ft. in length so it would fit on the ship. Inside the 10 ft. containers were(2) 8 ft. containers ... moreand inside the 8 ft. containers were(2) 6 ft. containers. Talk about odd ball as this was the weirdest configuration of containers I had ever seen with my own eyes. After cutting the two 10 ft. containers apart I knew I had to keep one of these for myself as I needed one of these units at my lake cabin to keep items under lock and key or keep them from growing legs and walking off. By the end of the week I moved one to my lake cabin and it has been there ever since. I already sold the additional 10 ft. 6 ft. 8 ft. containers that came with the Combi-tainer units. I am no longer in the business selling shipping containers. I recently built a 30 ft. x 40 ft. metal building here at the lake and no longer have a need for this 10 ft. container so I thought I would offer it for sale. If you are local to the Dallas Fort Worth area you can come and inspect the unit if you like.
