This is a 44 1/2 in. x 8 1/2"longboard" that is equipped with brackets to hold at least 5 shoe shelves. One of the round head bolts is missing off the bottom, but is a common size, and not even needed to hold a shelf securely. Note, Vans logo is impressed or branded into the wood at the bottom of the board. These displays were sent out to certain"core" shops at a time when the longboard was not commonly seen, unlike now] and attracted alot of attention. The board has a total of 4 holes that the brackets fit in& a couple small screw holes near middle that are hard to see, and don't go all the way through the board. We include 3 clear plastic shoe shelves that were being used ... moreon the unit, when taken out of service. Here is a wonderful estate find for your consideration. This is a Barrister book case that is stacked four high. It is made of Oak wood. Comes with base and top, it is all original, at some point in it's history someone put three additional glass shelves in it. It stands 64-3/4 inches tall, it is 34 inches wide and is 11-1/2 inches deep. These are outside measurements. The bottom cabinet is 16 inches tall and the other three are 13 inches tall. There are a few minor scratches here and there that would cover up nicely with a little stain. No damage and in working useable condition. Pair Chinoiserie Papier Mache Lacquered Japanese Style Wall Shelfs
This auction is for a pair of old papier mache lacquer wall shelfs. They are not marked. We are guessing they were made in Europe some time in the late 19th or early 20th century. They are finished to look like tortoise shell. They are in three pieces; the backboards that have partially raised or embossed. Gold and silver painted Japanese style scenes, hinged plain shelves with gold trim around the edge and and the simple hinged decorated supports. The supports are held by two little sleeves that slide over two bent nails that were hammered through the backboards, and have hooks that latch into a loop under the shelf to hold it in place. The hinges and the other hardware looks to be made of brass and are darkened from age. They each have a braided rope to hang by that may or may not be original to them. The backboards measure approx. 11" ... morex 8" x 1/8" The shelfs measure approx. 8" x 5" x 1/8" They are in relatively good condition. There are some small chips to the lacquered surface and they do show light scratches. Scrapes, and overall wear. Also, the nails holding the supports are a little loose and one of the sleeves at the back of one support has a tiny crack in it. Besides that they are in very good vintage, used condition. The brass(I believe) handle and front latch is very heavy duty! has 2 removable compartments to get to the bottom as shown in the photo they stack together with the top one sitting inside the bottom and fit nicely in the box. top has 9 spots for your favorite lure and the bottom has 8. The box is 19 inches long 7 1/8 wide and 6 3/4 inches high. Good used condition with a little wood missing on the front right see photo 11 and a crack on the bottom wood photo 8. Base is 36" x 25-1/2" shelfs are 12" 1 side has 8 shelf in the rack. other side has 4 shelfs in that rack, has room for more. each rack is 6-1/4" not new. some scratches, dust, dirt, wear& no tear. 2 or 3 nut& bolts missing. i do not use it.
