The person who designed this controller must have been an electrical engineer because it is a very smart design. Everything on the inside of the box is easily identifiable and packed with features I can't even imagine using on a tiny little machine like this. I intended to use the controller on another machine, but I really just need the room now, and don't want it sitting around when it could ... morebe cranking out parts somewhere. This controller has spindle speed control. Coolant/vacuum on/off control relay, and 4th axis control. From what I understand, you cannot do both spindle speed control and 4th axis control simultaneously with only one parallel port- you have to choose one or the other, unless you have a computer with 2 ports. The axes are controlled by DC servos with encoders, and have a 2:1 belt reduction on them. It also has limit switches on every axis. The machine has seen very little use, and I hate to let it go, but I need the bench space for a different machine. You won't be disappointed with this little mill, as it is feature packed. I would add a cable carrier to the Z axis if I were to keep it because there are a lot of cables. Other than that, it is ready to set up and start making parts. We used it for tiny titanium parts and it worked great with the.5mm end mill we used. Don't miss the ever increasingly rare chance to own one of these special machines. Hello. Up for bid is a used Gecko G540 cnc controller which I purchased from Camtronics 2years ago. This is a complete 2 axis setup I used for my sherline lathe and also my G0704 Grizzly mill. Specs on drive can be found at Gecko website. An optic sensor was installed for RPM/spindle speed used via Mach 3 software. A small magnet is needed and glued to spindle/chuck for sensor feedback. You would also need to fabricate your own bracket to mount sensor. A touch probe also use for finding center. Height setting etc.was also installed. The stepper was purchased 3 months ago and has approx 20hrs of use so I had not soldered wires together. Up for auction my plasma table controls. I going to try to list everything. This hardware is MP3000-DTHC from candcnc.com. It has DTHC. It can be set up for a most any plasma torch. I had this on a table with a Hypertherm 65. So it has the CPC port attached to the DTHC card. Everything worked when I broke down the table and boxed it up. I fired up the computer and everything worked fine. This includes a dell computer with Monitor. Mouse and keyboard(Pentium 4 2.8 with 4 gigs ram Win XP) The controller is basically the UBOB on Plus power supply all cable. Wires and software needed. The computer has MACH 3 and Sheetcam TNG installed with the licenses as well as a newer mach 3 license disc. Everything works and was taken apart just like it came off the table.
