Which is slightly deformed from a previous owner getting too aggressive with a wrench. The Threads Are Good! It has the number 27 stamped in the hex, and is lightly stamped DETROIT LUBRICATOR CO. DETROIT MICH around the base of the oiler. The small Massey Harris Type 1 engine setting next to it in the pictures is NOT included in the auction. Nor is the Buffalo Springfield Road Roller in the background. This auction is just for the large engine oiler. Selling AS IS based on pictures and description. As shown in one of the pictures, it is MISSING the screw-in filler cap. Johnson Utilimotor Washing Machine Engine
Here we have a Johnson Utilimotor from the early to mid 1930`s. It turns over. But the starter ratchet is hanging up and only allows it to turn one way, so that will need to be cleaned. The only other thing is that it is missing the exhaust manifold, and I can see that the top ring is missing, but the cylinder unbolts on these engines and makes the piston easy to get to in order to install rings. It may run on just one ring, that`s up to the buyer to decide. It is in very good condition otherwise, there are no cracks, breaks, or repairs, and the cooling fins are all intact. It is available for pickup here in Wilbraham, MA 01095, or I can bring it to a New England show that I`m attending, or I can get it a ride to Coolspring if I don`t make it there myself. 1926 Maytag Washing Machine catalog. Directions, repair parts, and a nice info pamphlet. Found at the house where they originally owned the machine from new! The catalog from The Maytag Company Newton, Iowa lists model 80, 82, and a wooden model 40. It also contains a photo on the wringer mech, cross section of tub, factory on 13 acres, and the kick start gas engine in this classy book. Also with it is a small booklet with some green printing with sales info and a little hand writing naming the store and price. There is a FORM 77 rigid cardboard hang card giving directions for use. And last there is a larger 30m 8-26 FORM 103 List of Repair Parts fold out booklet. This handy piece lists all the parts with their part number for the Maytag Gyrafoam Washers. When you unfold and open this item it shows a great line drawing of the Model 1926 washing ... moremachine and parts numbers indicated. The catalog measures 5 5/16" wide by 8 1/2" The smaller booklet with some green printing measures 3" wide by 5 3/4" high. The directions tag measures 4 3/16" wide by 7 1/4" high. Boston and stamped J.W.Thompson,Pat'd AUG 31, 75 and a bottom part Patented JUNE 26,1883; and are serial numbered.In a large box which measures 5" high,9 1/8" deep,and 14 3/4" wide. There are also 3 large valves with spigots and 1 is missing. Also 8 pressures springs marked 10,12,24,40,60,8o,128& 150. There seem to be a couple of small items missing from holders on top left side. This outfit apparently had belonged to a Northern Engineering Wks. out of Superior,Wis. The box is comming abit apart at dovetailed corners and can be cleaned and reglued. There is also a small tray that fits into box and is not photographed. I got this out of the Superior area at least 25 years ago and was supposed to have been used in the last big brewery that closed in Duluth,Minnesota. FAIRBANKS MORSE 6HP Z HIT HISS GAS ENGINE
Up for bid is a real nice Fairbanks Z 6 hp gas engine with clutch pulley. Engine runs great; no cracks or welds that I've ever found. Has real good compression. The clutch pulley slips, may need an adjustment as it looks like it's backed off all the way. I've never actually used the pulley, I can see that it freewheels when the engine is running. I don't know about the gas tank in the base. I've never put gasoline in it. I've only run it on the small starting reservoir. As you can see it has the original starting crank, but I did not get the crank guard that goes on the back of it. My reserve price is what I've seen the clutch pulley alone go for. It's for pickup only. I do have a forklift so I can put it in a truck or trailer. Look closely at the pictures; this is a real nice engine. Thanks for looking!

1946 Maytag Twin 72 D , original, running
Here I have a Maytag Twin Motor. The 7 digit serial number starts with 100. So it puts it right in the middle of 1946. As you can see by the pictures. It is not restored, it did not had its $ 400 paint job, and not the $ 200 tuneup. I would call this an honest example of an unmolested model. Some decals are still visible, but quite faded. The paint itself is ok to good, however, especially on the kicker cover it is mostly gone. Speaking of kick pedal: it is not bend or cracked. The cover is also not distorted or rusted through. All mounting bolts(tank, cylinders. appear to be original. The fins on the cylinders are ok as well. You can also identify it as a later model because of the cut outs on the upper fins to slide out the cylinder bolts easier. There are various tank(base) options on these Maytags, this one has the cast iron tank with ... morethe mounting threads at the bottom. What I did recently was. Remove the tank and cleaned/scraped the inside, cleaned the check valve(screen is defect, but valve works correctly) made sure all fuel and air passages are free and put 2 new spark plugs in. It did start up after a couple cranks with my hand, that's how easy they can be started if everything is just right. I have not removed the flywheel to check on condition of coil and points, but it produced a nice blue spark, so there was no need for me to dig deeper. I had it running for about 3 minutes and it run steady w/o hesitation. I noticed one shallow dent in the flywheel rim(not cracked) But where my finger is pointing, that's where it seems it has been dropped or bumped. Does not made a difference when running. It also has the pulley to drive whatever you desire. These items are often lost. It comes with the original Eisemann spark plug rubber boot. To sum it up. This particular example has a lot going for it. What you do from here on out is up to you. Give it a good rub with some oil, or go through a complete restoration(all correct parts are there) or take it apart and sell individual parts of it(I don't

2hp Witte Engine stationary throttle govern
Hello here I have an old 2hp Witte throttle govern engine. This engine is complete minus the gas tank and a hot mag. There is one old repair on the rocker bracket but shouldn't affect getting it running again. It has week compression and can see slight blow by past the valves by looking in exhaust hole. This should make a good project and needs a good home. I just don't have the time for this one anymore and need to cut the projects down some. Hello, This listing is for a set of 2 pulleys and a leather belt originally used on steam industrial/farm equipment. There is a steel pulley measuring 3.25“ in diameter and 1.75“ wide. The wooden pulley measures 11“ in diameter and 3.5“ wide. The leather belt is 1/8” thick by 1.5“ wide and about 60“ long. This would be a great set of equipment to use on a steampunk project! The leather of the belt is a little stiff and is probably only good for display and there is a little bit of rot on the back of the wooden pulley. Old Original Sparta Economy Hercules Jobber Hit Miss Engine Cart Truck Steam
This is a real nice original jobber style engine cart or truck for a hit and miss gas engine. I believe it was used under the 1hp Sparta Economy and several others. It would look great under any 1-2hp engine and would certainly make moving it easier. It is in excellent condition with no cracks. Breaks, or repairs of any kind and includes the original pull handle. The wheels measure 8 1/2 inches in diameter with a 2 inch face. The wheels are nice and tight on the axles and the cart is ready to set an engine on and use it. Original J.I. Case Water Wagon Hand Pump
You are looking at partially restored original J.I. Case water wagon hand pump that was used for pumping water into the boiler of a steam traction engine of the day. The pump has been completely disassembled. Sand blasted, primed and repainted. The inside cylinder wall was machined to remove pitting so if someone wanted to it could be made to work again. This is a nice original low tension spark coil made by the National Coil Company. It measures about 2 9/16 inches in diameter and about 6 7/8 inches tall. It has been tested and puts out a spark that looks like you are welding! It has one original thumb nut on it that is marked N C Co. The other is damaged but still functions just fine. These original coils are getting tougher to find every day and they certainly give an authentic look to a nice original engine! The pictures tell the story. Up for your consideration is a vintage rope start Briggs& Stratton four cycle small engine. Didn't see the horse power anywhere. I would guess a 3 to 5. I have not started it but the pulley turns freely. Looks to be complete but can't guarantee it. Shows signs of use with surface wear and some dings here and there. MAYTAG 92 CLONE ASSOCIATED MANUFACTURERS 3/4 H.P.”PONY” HIT & MISS GAS ENGINE
This is a rarely seen air-cooled two cycle offering by the Associated Manufacturers Co. Of Waterloo, Iowa that is a pretty close copy of the far-more-common Maytag model 92 washing machine motor Although quite similar. This neat little engine deviates from the Maytag on a few points, most notably with the high mounted eternal gear driven magneto and the use of a ratcheting pulley and a leather strap(of which parents of that era seemed to have a limitless supply of) as a starter instead of a foot pedal. This engine has great compression and turns over nicely, the mag gears are in as new condition and it should run with some minor tinkering. In fact there is a nice 1:05 minute video of a similar engine running on youtube if you need further convincing you should get this engine. There is a crack in the carburetor air horn(see pictures) But ... moreother than possibly making it run a tad lean, it shouldn’t be too big of a issue to either compensate for, or fix. Besides that minor flaw(or challenge… this engine is in great shape for its age. Which, I’m guessing falls somewhere within that Post-War/ Pre-Depression decade of 1920-1930. I’ve left this in nice little engine in“as found” condition. Normally I’d drag it down to the carwash and hose it and myself off but after the apparent recent discovery of that rare element known as“patina” Mixed in somewhere with all that dirt and grime, some folks nowadays want this stuff left untouched. All I know about it is that it saves me a few quarters and a good drenching so I’m glad to oblige. Either way, left as is or fully restored, this would be a great little engine for anyone fascinated by these tiny mechanical marvels, a fan of any and all Associated engines, or maybe even a Maytag collector as a study in contrasts and comparisons to show how the competition tried to horn in on the popularity of Maytag’s far more famous(and common) creation. The smaller one has an oil reservoir section that is 1.5" tall(does not include the brass dome) by 1-5/8" across. The screw brass cap that goes in the hole on this one is not there. The clear section of the reservoir is made of plastic. Not glass. The larger one has an oil reservoir section that is 2.5" tall, by 2-3/8" across and it is a glass bowl. The gaskets on both are certainly worn and old or gone and will need replacing. Threads on both units look good. Small unit is 4-7/8" long with knob on top in upright position and the large one is 3.5" long. Would look nice on your engine. I have about 20 to 30 of these brass oilers to list. This is a very rare original ignitor for a Smith Great Western hit and miss gas engine. It is in excellent condition with no cracks. Breaks or repairs of any kind. It is part number E240 and mounts to the engine with two 1/2 inch holes 3 inches apart on center. The points look like they have been replaced with nails many decades ago. These would be easy and inexpensive to replace if you so choose. This is a very hard to find part for a very hard to find engine so if you need one to finish a restoration or just for a spare on the shelf don't miss this one. Offered here is a Clinton-Panther 2-1/2 HP Engine. Model A490 1112. Has cast iron sleeve. Runs good but needs a good cleaning and possibly other minor adjustments. There is a minor dent on top of gas tank but does not leak and is clean inside. Has minor rust with no other breaks or repairs that I could see.
