SENCO MODEL K Pneumatic Staple gun, 1/4 in. crown x up to 1 1/2 in. long staples
Older Senco Model K 1/4 inch crown. Pneumatic stapler. This gun is very well made and should continue to be a workhorse for many years. This one will shoot 1/4 inch crown staple up to 1 1/2 inch long. I have a pair of these for sale so check my other auctions. I replaced these a couple of years back with Senco SKS staple guns in my cabinet shop because were were having issues with staples not driving. However, after the newer more powerful(and more expensive) SKSs came in, we found out that the real problem was cheep staples. The block of wood(hickory) in the photo shows the difference. The gun in this auction drives the staple flush with the surface while the SKS drives it 1/8 inch deeper. I use a larger less common air fitting in my shop and so this will be shipped without a fitting. You will need a 1/4 NPT air fitting that matches your ... moresystem. I am sticking with the SKSs for one main reason. If there ever was a safety on these model Ks. They have been removed and it costs a lot of money in staples if the guys are shooting flies. This Model K is still a great gun and will outlast any generic staplers(and some name brand ones too) Notes: 1: There is a note taped to this gun that says"pull trigger while plugging in air" Some of these older guns have an issue. When you plug in the air line they won't fire. To resolve this you place the gun on a scrap of wood and hold the trigger while you plug it in. It will fire as the air comes in and then work normally after that first shot. When I tested this gun out it worked fine to just plug in the air but if the guys stuck a note to it, it does it sometimes. 2: This gun has a small. But easily heard, air leak at the trigger that most likely is the reason for the above problem. You can still buy rebuild parts for these if you choose to fix it but it works just fine as is. 3: Again: THIS GUN HAS NO SAFETY ON IT! Did I say that loud enough? NO SAFETY ON THIS GUN!
