Anritsu MS612A 50Hz-5.5GHz spectrum analyzer and service manual
For sale is this Anritsu MS612A spectrum analyzer and an MS611A service manual. The spectrum analyzer is in generally good condition. All buttons and features seem to work, except that the signal is significantly attenuated(87dB in the case of the 100MHz calibration source) There may be a loose connection in the sweep circuit, sometimes it needs a slap to wake up in the morning. I do not have the time or equipment to properly diagnose what is wrong, so I am selling it AS-IS, with no warranty and no returns. As you can see from the photos the basic functionality is there and someone with the right knowledge and equipment can probably get it back up to full performance. I am including an MS611A service manual. It has schematics, waveforms, and detailed troubleshooting instructions. This is a well used but fully functional Advantest 3261a spectrum analyzer. It has small scratches in paint on the front panel and a somewhat dim brightness screen with slight burn-in. It is perfectly useable and has been my primary instrument for a couple of years. I guarantee it will be as described or a full and prompt refund of all your funds. Then realigned the yig/yto and cal out freq which calibrates the frequency accuracy across the spectrum, then performed the ytf realignment which calibrates the amplitude and preselector, then complete flatness calibration and realignment according to the service manual. this unit performs like new in regards to amplitude, attenuator, and frequency accuracy. My cal is much better than any cal lab's calibration because I run all the manual adjustments. they only run it thru a software program and realign the freq response(flatness) at most(if that) other companies like tmi just look at it and certify it automatically without even testing it thoroughly. pics

Rental option as well for only 200$ a month. this model is in between 8562a and 8563e. this was still being produced 4 years after the 8563e was introduced.the only substantial improvement of the 8563e over the A is that it has better sensitivity Also I can have the phase noise or spurious noise measurements installed on a free mass memory module before shipment for no extra cost! thats an 800 $ value! international shipping rates are 120$ to 550$ depending on the country but usually about 350$ to 450$ for a spectrum analyzer measuring 28x22x18 inches 50 lbs. message for a formal quote before buying! ... moresouth america will be 550$. mexico is 250$. canada is 120$ to 200$ since it goes ups ground. I have both 8562a and 8563e for sale as well but I recommend this unit to most people who dont need super high sensitivity or super high bw resolution but still need something with real high performance and on a budget. this out performs the 8562a in every way and is about 5 years newer model. its 1000$ more but very well worth it Im sure you will agree. this model was made at the same time the 8563e was produced!thats 6 years after the 8562a was introduced)
