NIXIE TUBES from mo. 7005 Systron Donner/Fairchild multimeter
Up for auction are two matched sets of 6 NIXIE tubes. To be sold as is and untested. They are in a PCB sub-assembly with a 7th tube on the end(unknown function) and were pulled from a Systron Donner 7005 Digital multimeter made by Fairchild. This unit has a calibration date hat was close to when it was retired so most likely the nixie tubes will be in working condition. Still. we are sell them as it. The multi meter made by Fairchild was the top of the line in it's day, a shown in the photo it is a dual unit. These tubes are being sold as a pair of two sets. That is, 12 tubes. Systron Donner Model 6054B Frequency Counter 20HZ to 24GHZ
I have owned this counter for about 12 years. And it spent most of its life with me on the shelf. I deal with frequencies up to 490mhz and this counter was really too much for me. I took it off of the shelf, plugged it in, and it came back working right away. The only thing I did to it was put a little tuner cleaner on the switches. It seems to work fine, as far as I can tell, but I am not really familiar with any frequencies above 490 mhz. I do have an HP83832B, which will genrate a signal up to 20ghz. In the pictures I show the generator at a UHF frequency and at a high microwave frequency, to show you that it seems to work fine. The frequencies of both units do not match, so I would say that the osicllator or generator are a little off freq, but I am not sure of which. I did not adjust the frequency of the counter(the adjustment is no ... morethe back, but I did not want to change it unless I was sure of the base I was using) This is a heavy item and I will pack it well. I have done my best to be totally honest as to the. Condition of this unit. And I will not accept any returns. To the best of my knowledge, it is working, and I will assume it will work when you get it. But, I might warn you, that this unit has some years on it and could have problems in the future. It seems to be built very well and the circuit boards look easy to work on. The power supply is isolated and there is plenty of room to see all the components and do any repairs in the future. I talk negatively only as a disclamer. It certainly seems to be a good unit.

Up for auction a Systron Donner Universal Counter Timer or in short words a frequency conter. I have no manuals for this and found little info on the web about this unit. Has three input ports Port A and B which are BNC type go up to 170 MHz aprox. Port C has a selector switch one position 0.1 to 0.5 GHz and the other from 0.5 to 26 GHz. I was surprised the company wanted to get rid of the unit because it works. Last calibration date was 1994 I estimate it was removed from service about 2002. Unit has IEEE 488 port in rear. The unit also has a built in volt meter with 1V 10V 100V ranges and Trig A and Trig B position. I put a signal generator and it does measure up to 26GHz. Unit not DOA. Buyer pays for shipping. Rare Systron-Donner Model 3500 Analog Computer
For sale is a rare Systron-Donner Model 3500 Analog Computer as shown in the photos. This was manufactured by Donner Scientific Company. Division of Systron-Donner Corporation in Concord, California. It is S/N 152 and the component date codes are from 1960. It has 10 channels of chopper stabilized vacuum tube computing amplifiers, 15 potentiometers plus one 10 turn precision potentiometer, a mirrored scale voltmeter, and a banana plug patch panel for setting up problems. A Reset/Compute/Hold switch permits setting initial conditions prior to running dynamic problems. This computer was recently serviced and is in working condition. With all 10 amplifiers working properly and within the specifications shown in the manual. All of the tubes were tested(some bad ones replaced) and a few minor repairs made. In addition, modern aluminum electrolytic ... morecapacitors have been added in parallel with the four original ones, which were left in place. The 10 computing amplifiers are on plug in printed circuit boards, with two amplifiers per board. One board(channels 9-10) is newer than the others(component date codes 1966) and is of slightly different design and construction, but very similar. Cosmetically. The unit has minor rusting of the nickel plated hardware and some corrosion spots here and there on the case, but otherwise is in very good condition. Listing includes a good quality photocopy reproduction of the instruction manual, and includes specifications, schematics and instructions for using the computer for practical problem solving with examples.
