This setup is also useful if you want a tracking frequency offset from the SA setting and the Tek TR501 tracking generator fits into Tek TM502 TM503 TM504 TM506 TM515 or tm5003 tm5006 cabinet. This unit appears to be in good physical condition. The unit powers up properly I hooked the LO inputs to a 7000 series spectrum analyzer(7000 units cannot be set to max span) sweep control set to zero span(7000 series and 49x series are set to manual sweep) and hooked the output to a counter to show the frequency setting I will have pictures of the unit hooked to a 2792 in a bit. Tektronix 2710 Spectrum analyzer with tracking generator, 10khz to 1.8ghz
This Unit was purchased new. By my wife, somewhere around 1990. It was a Christmas Present, so it was extra special, and has had very good care. I am in the Two Way Radio business, and I wanted something that could look at the bare spectrum and also tune cavities and duplexers. This was perfect for me. I used it for a few years and then bought some other more elaborate equipment, at which time this unit went on the shelf. I can tell you that it probably does not have more than 10 hours of service on it in the past 20 years. It is in excellent cosmetic condition, with the original user manual. The screen is bright, all the controls work, and it seems to be in excellent conditon, overall(look at the pictures) As with any piece of electronic equipment that is old. There are no warranties, other than it is. Certainly working now. And I will double ... morebox the unit for shipment. But, it is old and I would not want to misrepresent its status. Our Tektronix model 492 spectrum analyzer was working fine before the display went out(small bright line across the screen) with only some button indicator lights and no functioning. Prior to that. The screen was nice and bright, with all functions and controls working. It appears to be a power supply issue, but we can't take the time to repair it and are selling it for parts/ repair to someone who can. It is in very good cosmetic condition with no damage to the case or front panel. The display is clean and unblemished. All knobs, connectors and buttons are tight.
