This setup is also useful if you want a tracking frequency offset from the SA setting and the Tek TR501 tracking generator fits into Tek TM502 TM503 TM504 TM506 TM515 or tm5003 tm5006 cabinet. Yet another unit#8 loaded with opts.GPIB, video monitor, Tracking Generator, NVM, counter, 300hz filter, phace lock, has cover, unit has feet and a handle all normalizations were recently run and passed the crt is clear and bright(sorry if the camera doesn't do justice) these normalizations are internal tests which were recently run and is in very good shape.I have tested the controls and buttons on this unit too, have I can copy the service manual if my copy costs are paid. I am sure many of the buyers of units that don't show the unit passing all the normalizations tests know just how dissapointing equipment like that is when they paid over a 1000$ for the unit! Tektronix changed something with the 2710 models over previous models it now by doing such tests provides a very accurate ... moreassessment of the unit automatically by doing a minor recalibrating of itself so you don't have to trained in how to test these units to know the condition. If you ever want to see what condition your 2710 is in let it warm up properly then go to the utility menu(by pressing Util button) and select normalizations(selection button 3) then select all normalizations(selection button 0) if your unit passes all normalizations then it is in pretty good shape but to find any sections that fail this type of test you select the service normalization section of the menu and it will display for each section what failed or passed. The 2710 offers a wide range of features at an extremely affordable price. My re-conditioning includes replacing all the high voltage caps in the power supplies. I check the signal transfer from the RF input to the output of the 3rd Converter and replace any parts that have excessive loss on the RF deck. I check the operational parameters of all the circuit modules and replace any defective components. I disassemble the front panel and replace any defective push button switches and parts on the circuit board. Up for auction is this Tektronix 7L5 Spectrum Analyzer with L3 front end. This is a plug-in module for the 7000-series oscilloscopes. This is in fantastic condition. And everything works, the case has no dents, all the buttons, knobs and lights work. The image shows the displayed output from the built-in calibrator source. I'm sure it needs to be calibrated considering its age, but it shouldn't be difficult. You won't be disappointed in the condition of this older spectrum analyzer. It has worked this way for the last 3 years since I got it, and is always OK after the warmup. This unit has the standard range from 50 KHz to 1800MHz, and the 496 comes standard with high resolution and memory. Physical condition is good, see pictures. It comes with a power cable and manual on CD, note that front feet are not original. Test cables shown in the pictures are not included. Hi everyone! For sale here is a nice portable spectrum analyzer/oscilloscope combo. The spectrum analyzer covers from 1 to 500 mhz This is a Tektronix/Sony model 323 portable oscilloscope along with the rare matching model 1401A spectrum analyzer adapter. Original manuals are included also. These units are in good physical condition and they do power up as can be seen in the pictures. I do not have AC power cords for these and so I powered them from an external DC supply for testing. Internal batteries will likely need to be replaced. The"clock hands" of the fine tuning control on the 1401A are broken but the control does function. This is a great combination if you have need for a small spectrum analyzer and/or oscilloscope. Tektronix 7L12 spectrum analyzer plugin, for parts.
Up for auction is the following: 1 Tektronix 7L12 Spectrum Analyzer. In very used condition. It's a parts unit.mostly. It's complete with side panels, all screws, most of the knobs. I picked it up from, essentially, a scrap electronics dealer a while ago in completely unknown(and filthy) condition. I took the front plate off, cleaned it, cleaned the knobs, the displays, etc. Pluged it into my 7834 mainframe. and much to my happiness, it powered up. All of the lights came on, the LED display came up, the frequency band changed on the screen as I changed knob positions, etc. The only problem was that I had no spectrum displayed at all. Not even noise. So, I downloaded the manual and started taking things apart and poking though, hoping it was just an easily accessible bad cap or something. Well.I wasn't so lucky. I checked though ... more20 or so caps/resistors and got nowhere. Now that the winter is ending, I know I'm not going to have time to dig any farther through it, and to be honest, it's right on the edge of my skill level to repair something like this anyway. So, away it goes. If you can fix it, please let me know what it was that was wrong! Otherwise, it should be good for a lot of parts. I'll send you the copy of the manual I have. It's not a bound copy; it's a printed and taped together copy. Shipping is actual via USPS Priority Mail. If there's a cheaper way or another way that you'd prefer.
