It passes all module calibrations and built-in calibration routines. My re-conditioning included replacing the power supply in this unit with a brand new un-used power supply. I check the signal transfer from the RF input to the output of the 3rd Converter and replace any parts that have excessive loss on the RF deck. I check the operational parameters of all the circuit modules and replace any defective components. I disassemble the front panel and replace any defective push button switches and parts on the circuit board. Haven't you always wanted a high-end spectrum analyzer but couldn't justify the $20K or even the $2500 ones? Here's your chance to have one with just a couple of quirks that really don't affect amateur needs. This is my backup analyzer and I just upgraded the HF so I need to shed some extra weight so here's a real bargain. This unit has two problems.1. The CMOS battery is bad meaning initital power-on settings are not saved nor is the date/time. It will. However, retain stored set-up memories and copy to disk. 2. Somtimes several parameters fail in the initial boot, but measurements in every frequency domain I have used(7 Mhz through 2.4 Ghz) for amateur radio and WiFi are well within useable values when compared to other calibrated analyzers or freq counters. Oddly enough, I have tried without luck to duplicate the FAILURES ... moreand can only get full SUCCESS on boot up. There is an issue. See below. The issue: It meets specs from 9KHz to 13GHz. Above 13GHz the readings begin to read low. The worst of it between 26-29GHz where the readings are approximately-12dB low.
