The focus and intensity adjusters work. The trace is nice and sharp no fuzz. I keyed 10MHZ for the center freq and 15MHz for the span freq. I connected the HP 3585a to my Tektronix signal generator and a 50 ohm load and dialed up a rough 10MHz on the generator. See the HP 3585 response to that circuit in the photo below. It works! Cool. I tested it from 50Hz to 13MHz the highest freq of my signal generator. It picked up the 60Hz from my room lights. I got about 3 divisions of signal. When I turned the room. Lights off the signal went away. It's very sensitive. The marker works- See the photo. You move it around with the black knob. The digital displays are all working. Fc and Span inputs work. Tektronix 2712 Spectrum analyzer + 2707 Tracking generator. Works perfectly.
This spectrum analyzer is in perfect working order. Someone took very good care of it and it's cosmetic condition is excellent. It passes all normalization routines and has a nice crisp clear display with no apparent burn marks. The tracking generator is working perfectly as well and in equally nice cosmetic shape. The 2712 has two small cracks in the overlay skin near the input connector. Very minor. Two manuals are also provided one for each unit. If you would like more pictures please feel free to ask. I used to have this unit as a part of my own audio rack. I have only noticed one oddity with this unit and it is that 2 lights of the 80 hz column of the spectrum analyzer always remain on. It could be my own lack of knowledge of the setup. The cabinet has some scuffs and scratches on the top. But is in Very Good condition overall. The face and controls are all in working order and in great condition. This unit does not include any microphone.
