It does have a testing chart in the bottom that looks to be in good cond. This was likely quite expensive in it's day, but of course vcr's are obsolete, so I'm selling cheap. It can process up to 36 MHz bandwidth signals between 20 MHz and 2.7 GHz which covers the important communications and data bands. The FFT based DSP allows you to span down on signals to give exquisite structure detail. You will need a computer or laptop with an IEEE1394 comm port or card. I have sold this once before and it was returned because my customer said that there was a channel 2 flatness error and that it fails the conf tests. I have powered this up. Upon power up the RF section and Auto Cal off messages are displayed. It passes the power up function tests. I do not have the means to test this further. There are no floppies for this system. This is not a spectrum analyzer but I truly do not see much of a difference between a analyzer and a field strength analyzer it's even more sensitive at 117 dBm's has a built in frequency counter and can down load to a computer.It can demodulate SSB WFM NFM and AM frequencys built in speaker and headphone connector.not sure but I think a charge will last around 8 hours.I still can't figure out the difference between a spectrum analyzer and a signal strength analyzer it is also called a field strength analyzer.It weights about 3 to 4 pounds easy to carry.in the field.I've only used it twice I added my GRE super amplifier and it brought up the signal about 20 dBm's so that would be 137 dBm's that is pretty sensitive it easily picked up the noise floor.Model goes by other names like the Protek 3201 and the Sperry 3201 ... moreall the same devise.
