It has a superficial scratch on the top of the gray cover that I put on it while moving it around the shop. I do not have the means to test this instrument and therefore it is priced accordingly.

0.01– 22 GHz. Includes option 100. 100& 300 Hz bandwidth. I do not have the external mixers. With them the analyzer’s range will extend up to 40 GHz. The displays show a +10 dBm signal with 3 kHz or 50 kHz deviation. This has been my shop standby spectrum analyzer. Serial number 2107A01981. Clean bright display. I’ve owned this analyzer for about 7 years. It has attenuator/switch issues. All of HP’s analyzers of this vintage used gold fingers on a gold plated circuit board and they would. Over time, develop contact issues. When I bought it all was working fine so I suspect that cleaning the fingers would restore operation but this is not a job for the faint-hearted; it’s not hard but a bit tedious and time consuming. I don’t know if you can still get a rebuild kit– if so that would be the way to go. Sometimes the LEDs around the display ... morethat shows Ref Level and amount of Attenuation may not read correctly due to the dirty fingers. If you can live with 10-20 dB of“deafness” then this is a bargain. It has seen very little use since I have another SA that I use most of the time. A new SA is in the shop’s future so this one has to go and my current main one will be the standby. I’m selling it as parts/repair with a low starting price– no returns but it is guaranteed to work as described here. There used to be a number of people who advertised on eBay that would do the rebuild for a reasonable amount. I haven’t done one in more than 10 years and I don’t have the time. 30 day warranty! this has option 41 which is parallel and serial connectors. this is a late 1998 model. this model was discontinued in 1999. I have a few different identical units all calibrated. The option configurations on each are as follows: 105 gated can be installed on any machine for no extra charge but may cause a delay) 1. 41(gpib and parallel interfaces)101(fast time domain sweeps adc)105(time gated spectrum analysis) 2. 21(gpib interface)101,105 3. 21.004(precision freq standard) 4. opt 4. 101, 102(demod and video trigger) 130(narrow bandwidths) 41, this units crt is decent but not amazing(new one can be installed for 200$ more if needed)The back of the unit also says opt 53 and 301 but I cant verify it. internal menu only says the one listed first. I also have one or two with tracking generators and other opt configs listed on ... moreebay this unit is one out of many analyzers. and I also have 2 8563a. 3 8563e, 6 8562a, 2 8562e, 2 8561e, and 1 8560e and a million 859 series analyzers as well w tracking generators and other opt configs. I can also upon request install any one of the following measurement personalities at no extra charge: Cdma phs. Gsm multband. Cable tv. Scalar. Quasi peak detector(I think it needs opt 103 hardware to work though) I also have other options such as opt 004. 101, 102, 130, 151 and 160,etc. upon request for an extra cost. pics designate flatness which as you can see is dead on within.5 db accuracy across the board! frequency accuracy is dead on even at 10 khz spans at 2.9 ghz! crt looks excellent. slight burn which is normal but not really noticeable. I also have this version with tracking generator as well for 1000$ more. Comes with Brand new Nist Traceable calibration.
