The ec model is the last 6 series model and started in 1999 and ended in 2004 for production. the regular e series started in 1992 and went til 1999. First I realigned the loda amplitude and dual mixer alignment on the a14 board. Then realigned the yig/yto and cal out freq which calibrates the frequency accuracy across the spectrum, then performed the ytf realignment which calibrates the amplitude and preselector, then complete flatness calibration and realignment according to the service manual. this unit performs like new in regards to amplitude, attenuator, and frequency accuracy. my cal is much better than any cal lab's calibration because I run all the manual adjustments. they only run it thru a software program and realign the freq response(flatness) at most(if that) other companies like tmi just look at it and certify it automatically without even testing it thoroughly. If you see one on ebay for less make sure they tell you the year model. it makes all the difference. the later model has the most recent firmware and motherboards so you dont deal with any glitches. Plus the cpu is twice as fast as the first few year models. First I realigned the loda amplitude and dual mixer alignment on the a14 board. Then realigned the yig/yto and cal out freq which calibrates the frequency accuracy across the spectrum, then performed the ytf realignment which calibrates the amplitude and preselector, then complete flatness calibration and realignment according to the service manual. this unit performs like new in regards to amplitude, attenuator, and frequency accuracy. my cal is much better than any cal lab's calibration because I run all the manual adjustments. they only run it thru a software program and realign the freq response(f
