Vintage Heathkit Reflected Power Meter, AM-2, with Manual 1957
Straight out of my Dad's ham shack. Is a Heathkit, Reflected Power Meter, Model AM-2 and the instruction Manual. The meter was built by my Dad and was stored away 10 years ago, upon his demise. It was in working order at that time. The actual Meter housing needs cleaning, as it is dusty and has some tape residue dried on it. Dad's original labels are still on the backside. Cosmetically, it is in great condition, with a slight scuff on the meter face and missing a small rubber foot on the bottom. The Manual has a copyright of 1957, has some blemishes and a stain on the front cover, staining on the back cover(looks like coffee spills) some wear around the edges, and a couple of bent page corners. Heathkit Model W7-M Tube Vintage Amplifier 1959 55 Watt amp W7M
Heathkit Model W7-M Vintage Tube Amplifier. 1959, 55 Watt This model is hard to find in good physical and unmodified condition. This Heathkit amplifier is from a console I purchased at an estate sale. It is in it's original condition. It has not been modified or refurbished in any way. The 4 plastic feet are missing. The other knobs. Control covers, top cover are all there and original. There are several areas on the top of the chassis that have discolored and are slightly darker then the surrounding area. These areas can be seen in the first picture showing the top of the unit with the cover removed. Two of the large power supply electrolytic capacitors are shorted(C16 and C17) They will need to be replaced as should the other two large power supply capacitors. There are numerous websites that discuss these and several other changes ... morewhich will greatly increase the long term reliability of this amplifier. I temporarily substituted these two capacitors and ran the amplifier for over an hour. The hum level is very low and the sound quality was very good. I will leave it up to the buyer of this amp to replace these capacitors(and any other out of spec components) because of the different approaches on how to mount the replacement capacitors. Besides offering a 14 day period during which the amplifier can be returned for a full refund. I am also allowing return of the amplifier for 30 days for a full refund if either the power transformer or output transformer fails. Buyer would pay return shipping. Both EL34 vacuum tubes measured weak on my uncalibrated tube tester. But still provide quality sound and sound level. One is a Mulland EL34(code XF1 B8G) the other EL34's markings are partially wiped off(code X13 X9C) The 6AN8 is a Heathkit manufactured by RCA. This is a Rare AND Vintage Heathkit Model AR-3 Tube Receiver. This is a fully functional working unit with original alligator finish cabinet in prime condition. It has had two minor modifications; the power cord was cracked and broken and was replaced with a heavy duty 3 prong W/Ground power cord and the antenna input has been modified with an SO-239 50 ohm connector for 50 ohm cable. Heathkit SB-301 Vintage Ham Radio Receiver w/ 404-283 + 404-284-1 Filters (NICE)
Available for sale is a Heathkit receiver. Model SB-301(serial number 9382954A) This unit comes complete with the 404-283 and 404-284-1 filters. This unit is in good cosmetic condition for its age. As you can see in the photos below. There is some paint missing from the top cover. The faceplate looks terrific. Our tech played with this unit for over half and hour, and was impressed with it. He noted that the crystal calibrator works well, and that the receiver is very stable after warming up. This is a nice piece of classic Heathkit equipment.
