This is my Radioshack SPL meter that I used for calibrating my home theater system. It works great. I just no longer need it as my new receiver auto-calibrates for me. An SPL meter can be used for lots of other purposes though and it's a great general tool to have. Included here is the SPL meter itself. The original box and instructions, and the carrying case for it which the button tore off, but it still closes just fine and could easily be fixed. Thanks for looking! ^_^

The built in calibration feature is awesome! it can measure spl from about 30 db all the way to 140+ db and it does it quite accurately. It uses a 30 volt battery which you will have to get. There are several sources on the web to get them. The old battery which is dead is included with the unit. The battery was never left in the unit when not in use. the instruction manual is missing but the full usage instructions are on the back of the unit. It's a fine piece of vintage audio test gear! I used one of these meters in the early 80's and it compared favorably to my 2203/1613/4144 I was amazed because we paid a lot less for the Quest kit and it didn't break down as much(meter neck problems threads stripped or jammed) and when we sent it in to Anaheim(after a while no longer in business) we were always told it needed a new 4144 and the charged us to repaint it $400.00,$ 1100.00 for new microphone. These meters are very rugged and reliable. Everything in the pictures is included hand held meter can be used for frequency measuring. I have chart with correction factors for 6Kand 8 K but it has a flat response otherwise. The corrections on 6 and 8KHZ ... moreare less than 2db. The ANSI tolerance for Audiometers at 6K and 8KHZ is +/ 5DB.Warrantied to not be DOA but can be returned 14 days from date received. The kit consists of: 1. 2231 Modular Precision Sound Level Meter with a damaged 4155 microphone capsule(see below) and ZC 0020 Input Stage. This is the main unit. 2.
