It can be used as part of a system to measure the sound pressure level from headphones etc. I have tested it with a compatible mic capsule and preamp. And can confirm that it gives the proper calibrated level(see photo showing 93.6 dB n.b. mic capsule, preamp, cable, calibrator and measuring amplifier not included! Comes with the original wooden box. And all the original accessories, but no manual or documentation. See photos for everything included. Reasonable condition for its age. Only the rubber feet have perished. I have also have another(less complete) set. Which would compliment this one e.g. for spares- please see my other items.
