I just installed a matched pair of Taylor 572B's and am getting full power output, about 650w out. This guy was promoted as the Kompact Kilowatt. It truly is compact. The amp portion is smaller than many radios& is sure to fit conveniently on your desk top. The"Kilowatt" part comes in when you calculate the power used produce the output. today we simply look at a meter& know what it is"doing" There are no scratches, dents or dings anywhere I can see. Other than the normal discoloration above the tubes, this amp could pass for new. I see no signs of abuse or misuse even on the inside. No obvious overheated parts& it was very well built initially. As with all the electronics I offer, this item is being sold as-is. If you are a Heathkit collector, this is a very rare find! Heathkit IT-21 Tube Tester- Nice! Accurate! HAM Here's a nice. Clean Heathkit model IT-21 tube tester. It has all the sockets you've been looking for to test the tubes in your vintage radios. It'll test those older 4-pin, 5-pin, 6-pin, and even 7-pin tubes, as well as the later 8-pin Octal, 8-pin Loctal and the 7-pin and 9-pin miniatures. It also has sockets for both 5-pin and 7-pin Nuvistors, 9-pin Novar tubes and 12-pin Compactrons. The 9-pin miniature socket has an additional center pin to also accept 10-pin miniature tubes. The test circuit of the IT-21 is identical to Heath's later models IT-17 and IT-3117, and the earlier"TC" models, and the test data for these testers is also usable with the IT-21. To ensure accuracy of a newly built kit. Heath didn't provide any calibration adjustments for this model ... moretester, relying instead on the inherent accuracy provided by using close tolerance components in the measuring circuits. All the components of this instrument have been checked for accuracy and found to be well withing their original specifications; and this TC-3 is working as it should on all ranges. It is shown in the second photo testing a new 6L6GC tube. The tube, of course, is not included in the auction. This instrument is especially nice. The workmanship is impeccable and very neat with proper layout. The connections and solder joints are professionally done. And it even has the little"extras" like laced wiring not usually found on a kit instrument. The workmanship of this instrument is as good as I've seen on any electronic instrument- even the expensive professional stuff. This is a Heathkit IT-11 Capacitor Tester. It is in very good to excellent condition. Notice the 220 uf capacitor under a test. Dial is quite accurate. I did test a few different values of capacitors. Chassis is very clean. Case looks very good. Eye tube is still useable. The 2 uf reference capacitor was replaced because it was out of tolerance. I can furnish a copy of the schematic. But I do not have the manual. This Heathkit power supply is in good condition and works well; it has been fully re-capped and all off-value parts have been replaced. It produces 0 to 400 volts DC at up to 100ma continuously and 0 to 125 volts for bias. Also 6.3 volts AC at 4 amps. Uses two 6L6GC. Two 0A2, 6BH6 and 6X4 tubes(tested) New rectifiers. Meters have been serviced and are accurate; controls and switches have been cleaned. New power cord. Minor wear overall. But in nice condition. This power supply should last for many years of service in tube amplifier design.

Heathkit TT-1 Tube Tester for HiFi Audio + Guitar Amp ★ NO RESERVE ★
Up for auction is a rare Heathkit TT-1 tube tester. The unit comes complete with the user manual. As well as the original construction manual. Overall, the unit is in great physical condition. The faceplate sparkles with hardly a scratch on it! The outer case is somewhat faded, but the cloth is intact with the exception of on tear(see photos below) Some of the metal hardware has a little rust, but nothing too serious. I actually owned a TT-1 a few years back. And loved it. It's a great tube tester for someone who tests common audio tubes(6L6, 6V6, EL34, EL84, 12AX7, 6SN7, etc) The unit powered right up as the previous owner said it would, however, some of the knobs were very stiff, and a few would not turn at all. They will need to be cleaned and lubricated before the tester can be used. It may also need some level of calibration, and ... moreperhaps a few small components(resistors, caps, etc) This does not include the TTA-1-1 adapter. That is being offered for sale in a separate auction. If you are doing primarily audio work with tubes similar to those listed above. You will likely never need the adapter. Nice Vintage Heathkit IT-12 Signal Tracer Radio Audio Ham w/Probe & Manual Works
SquareTrade © AP6.0 This is a very nice Heathkit Model IT-12 Visual-Aural Signal Tracer. The unit comes with a copy of the assembly and operation manual and schematic. Heathkit had permanently attach the probe to this model Signal Tracer.no hunting for probes! A slide switch on the probe switches from audio circuits to demodulating rf signals. The unit uses both the sound from the speaker and also a"magic eye" tube for visual indication. The eye tube is strong and works properly. See photo#8. All the electrolytics were replaced with new caps and any resistors out of tolerance were also changed. Both tubes test"good" You'll notice when turning the unit"on" some low level hum. This is due to the high sensitivity of the tester and the fact that the input grid is at the probe tip and it'll pick up spurious ... moreac fields. You can move the probe around and hear a change in the hum and touching the tip end causes a louder hum. Once you start exploring a circuit and place the probe on a audio or rf point the hum disappears. This unit works fine and is an great aid in troubleshooting problems in vintage radios. Amplifiers and TVs. It's a must on the service bench. The concept and practice of signal tracing is simple and explained in a few pages in the manual. All the knobs are original and all function properly. The Model IT-12 is the successor of Heathkit's Model T-4. The only difference is that the IT-12 has fancier knobs. Circuit is exactly the same but this kit came out about 4 years after the very successful T-4. If you repair vintage equipment of collect vintage test equipment you should consider this Signal Tracer. You won't find one as clean and as nice as this one. Also. Disconnecting the probe line and adding a phono jack w/ matching impedance resistor will turn this into a great little amplifier for the guitar enthusiasts. This unit can dial in any resistance from 1 to 99.999 Ohms in increments of 1 Ohm. This is the old"Red Letter" series which was manufactured using ceramic wafer switches with silver plated contacts and 0.5% resistors. There were four cooked resistors and those were replaced with resistors measuring within the original tolerance of 0.5% All other resistors were checked and were all within tolerance. Selling a 1960 Heathkit EC-1 as parts and from the photos you can clearly see it funuctions. Its missing 18 plugs and caps and one rocker switch. The inside had no Dust it was in the origional box but is no longer.
