Vintage PALOMAR 90-A Linear Amplifier as Shown 5 DAY AUCTION! This is a used item in Good Condition that will need some work I could not test this as I haven't the means to do so I noticed the power cord is missing the ground. Shown in a close-up. Last photo. I plugged this in and it powered up ok. I could not try it any further. The big knobs seem to move as they should. Some of the bottom switches donot move smoothly but they did click in place Also the meter is loose and can slide out some as its not secured in place. Vintage Bakelite Radio knob 1920's for Ham Radio Homebrew tube or Crystal set
Very nice old knob. complete and working. please take good look at pictures they are the description and email with questions if you have any. No cracks. A few superficial scuffs as expected for a 90 year old knob. Working knob, very cool unique design I have not seen before. The front knob unscrews. When you screw it back on, as you tighten it, the brass insert spline in the bakelite knob tightens around the shaft of whatever shaft the knob is put on, like the tuning capacitor shaft or volume control shaft. This method replaces the set screw. They applied for a patent but don't think this design caught on, even though it smoother and more attractive than conventional knobs of that era as there is no visible set screw in this type design. Allied Radio- Knight KG-600B Tube Tester- Checked& Calibrated- HAM Here's a nice. Clean and properly working Knight KG-600B tube tester. This model is one of the latest, and has sockets for testing the newer 10-pin, nuvistor, novar and compactron tubes. If you're into the real vintage stuff, you'll be glad to know it still has the older large 4, 5, 6& 7-pin sockets in addition to the standard 8-pin octal& loctal and 7& 9-pin miniatures. The Knight KG-600 series of testers. Like the Eico 625 and 628, and the Heathkit TC-1, TC-2, TC-3, IT-21, IT-17 and IT-3117 all used the Triplett designed circuit made famous in their model 3413 tube tester. In fact, the test data for all these tube testers is generally interchangeable. This makes for a good sanity test if you think your tube settings are wrong. Just look up the ... moresettings for one of the other testers and use it for comparison testing! The Knight KG-600 series of testers was a bit unique. However. By using separate filament and high voltage secondary windings on the power transformer, instead of a single winding as in other testers, Knight was able to add a gas test, and was able to do so without adding any extra components. This gas test feature is unique to the Knight KG-600 series. None of the other manufacturers of similar testers had it. Don't let the lack of extra lever switches for the 12-pin Compactron tubes fool you. The Knight KG-600B is fully able to test these tubes just as it does the others. Unlike other manufacturers. Knight realized that the extra switches weren't necessary, as all Compactron filaments are connected to pins 1 and 12 and don't have to be switched. All Aluminum watertight project box with huge heatsink for Ham radio or?
This used to be a 3KW solar inverter with a heatsink capable of dissipating about 250W without the inside overheating. This heavy Aluminum welded box with solid cast aluminum heatsink would be great for any outdoor project that requires a watertight enclosure that stays cool. It has a small square hole in the bottom that can easyly be plugged. And entry holes for wiring. As example this could a mast or wall amplifier for HAM radio use( does anybody still build their own gear? or any other electronics that require cooling and a hermetically sealed box( seal is silicone rubber. Heatsink mounts with stainless steel screws) Why use a lot of expensive low loss Coax if you can put your amp near to the antenna? even though it is all aluminum this box is quite heavy( due to the solid heatsink) And fedex ground shipping will be the only option.

Yaesu FRG-7 Shortwave Ham Radio Shortwave Receiver w/ Digital Readout Meter
SquareTrade © AP6.0 In the early 80's Yaesu manufactured this famous receiver which has been used by shortwave listeners and amateur radio enthusiasts alike for over 4 decades. This Yaesu FRG-7 is in nice original condition. But is not perfect. I have taken a variety of pictures for you to see the cosmetic detail. Please refer to the pictures and feel free to ask any questions. The front panel is in above average condition. The cover on these FRG-7's is often heavily scratched. But this one shows only a couple of small scratches. The battery compartment is clean showing no signs of battery leakage. If you look at my pictures, you will see that we have detail cleaned this FRG-7 and it now looks very nice. Operationally the receiver works perfect except that the Mhz lamp is burned out. If desired. You can replace this lamp, but ... moreit does not hinder the FRG-7 operation without it. The FRG-7 is offered with the relatively scarce digital frequency readout. This is nice because it allows the user to tune the radio accurately and to know the operational frequency. Thus. When you hear a station, you will know the precise frequency. This frequency display is a nice upgrade enhancement to the analog FRG-7 receiver. This FRG-7 comes with a copy of the owner's manual. A copy of the sale brochure, and an interesting review of the FRG-7 seen in Practical Wireless in June of 1979. In addition, I am including a pdf copy of the manual on CD along with service notes to keep this receiver operating at it's peak for many years to come. The CD contains a wealth of files containing information about mods and specific improvements or operation notes concerning the FRG-7 receiver. This CD is not for sale and is intended to accompany this receiver into the hands of the new owner. Over the years. I have restored and sold about 65 of these FRG-7 receivers. Yaesu did not offer the fine tuning on the early receivers nor the battery holder on some of the later units. This particular receiver contains both of those features.

Pride HFL-125 bi-linear cb/ham radio amp amplifier
Specs: PRIDE HFL 125 Bilinear Amplifier 1. Internal lowpass filters for 40. 20, 15, and 10 meters. With this arrangement one can also use it on 30, 17, and 12 meters. 2. I also built an external lowpass filter to use it on 80 meters and that works very nicely as well(best performance was with the amp set to 20 meters and then insert the 80 meter lowpass filter) I also tried it on 160 meters but apparently the transformers and decoupling is not up to the test for that band. It transmitted fine up to about 40-50 watts, but at higher power it draws too much current on 160. Again I had inserted a homebrew external lowpass to test this. 3. With 2- 4 watts of input drive the amp will produce around 100 watts or more on each band. 4. Input SWR is great on 40 through 10 meters, but at 80 and 160 I used the K2 autotuner to reduce this. 5. Ferris Instruments Model 22A RF Generator (Ham Radio Test Equipment)
This item is an Model 22A RF Signal Generator built by Ferris Instruments Corp of Boonton. NJ, S/N 331. The generator covers a frequency range of 85Kc to 25Mc in 6 bands. It includes an internal modulator(modulation up to 50% and metering and an output attenuator that allows setting the output level down to 0-10 mV and up to 0-1 Volt. The generator employs a type 955 acorn triode as its oscillator, and the unit is operated from a gas-tube regulated supply. Construction is sturdy. The auction also includes an original manual for the instrument. The generator is in good cosmetic condition. Though not perfect. There are the usual scuffs and scrapes on the external paint, and the frequency dial has some stains and slight tears, though it is completely legible. The power cable is cracked where it exits the cabinet and should be replaced. While ... moreexamining the instrument I found the shield can over the output level control had come loose and was rattling around inside. Though I replaced it, it may come loose in shipping, so buyer please be aware of this minor problem. The manual is loose leaf, captured in a folder, and seems to be in good shape. There's a complete schematic on a large fold-out(see pix) Electrically. The generator seems to be fully functional. The pots and output attenuator switch could use some cleaning, but otherwise the instrument works as intended, as far as I can tell. See photo in which the generator is tuned to 1.0 Mc, and my slightly temperamental GR counter reports that its output is at 997 Kc, only 0.3% off. The modulator also appears to be working and can be adjusted up to 50% modulation. That is not bad for a 70-ish year old instrument! Payment by Paypal only. Please. Hughes RT-794/PRC-74 Receiver Transmitter for HF Ham Radio
This was in a collection from a ham radio SK. The Hughes RT-794/PRC-74 is a receiver and transmitter for high frequency use of 2-12 mHz for ssb and cw. In doing a little research. It can operate on 12 volts and puts out about 10 watts or so. The inside looks pretty clean with no corrosion. All of the switches mechanically operate as they should. Pretty rugged! I have no idea if it works.
