Vintage Aluminum Fishing Rod Pole, case,Simplicity Portland 12 Ore reel
This is a vintage all aluminum rod. Reel and case that I got at an auction. The pole fits inside the round case. The reel is attached to the case and the rod attaches to it also, making the pole over 8 feet tall. There is no cap for the round case(if I find it later I will add it to the auction) Right above the reel is part of a sticker that looks like it says"Pole Rod Scot Tex Corp. Dallas Texas Sole Distributor" The reel says"Simplicity Portland 12 Ore" around the edge. I'm not really sure how the reel works but it seems like it is stripped(when you turn the handle it doesn't wind in the string) I'm not sure if any pieces are missing. The rod shows some wear but it was manufactured to be incredibly sturdy. It looks like you could use it and it would be fine) The reel and case, with the other pieces inside ... moreit is just over 3 feet long. When you attach the other pieces, they go right near the reel, leaving a long 3 foot handle and 5 foot pole. I don't have much more information about this so email with any questions. 1940's vintage infant/baby layette sewing patterns-Simplicity and Butterick
1940's vintage sewing pattern# 1778 by Butterick originally 35 cents is in a brown envelope-pic# 2. It is not in great shape. It does have the instructions and 20 of the 21 cut pieces. One of the pieces has been cut using an old newspaper-one is missing-not sure which one. The transfer is there for the embroidery-4 pieces have been cut out of the sheet-but they are there. Description on the envelope says- Infants Layette in 18 or 21 in. length-dress and slip-nightgown. Bootie, shirt, slip-on band-straight band, bib, front closing kimono and a sack. Pattern# 4704 is Simplicity-originally 15 cents. This envelope is also in bad shape-see pic# 5. There are instructions-all the cut pieces are there-and the transfer for embroidery is uncut-though the main section of it has browned considerably-so not sure if that would impact the transfer with ... morean iron. The description for this pattern is: Style 1 and 2 are dainty little dresses-style 3 is a long coat-style 4- short coat and bonnet- 5 and 6 are slips-lace trimmed slip in short and untrimmed in long. Available is Simplicity pattern#3201 for a men's beach shirt and swim shorts. Copyright of 1951 on instruction sheet. Size small. Pattern is printed. Cut and has not been checked for completeness. Instruction sheet is included. Envelope has some wear. From the back of the envelope. The front buttoned shirt, styled with a pointed collar, has short sleeves. The shorts, lined with jersey, have an elastic casing at the waist and a small, button-down flap pocket at the back. Style 1 shirt has a large patch pocket at the lower edge in front. Stitching is used as trimming. Style 2 shirt has two button-down breast pockets.
