At the top of the sign, there's a hole for mounting to a wall with a nail or screw. The paddle handle is bolted to the sign and shows some wear, but no surface rust. The sign itself has many scratch marks due to its age, though it's difficult to tell exactly how old the piece is. Additionally, about half of the octagonal corners are bent one way or another. Up for auction is an original emblem from a 1920's Galion Patrol Hydraulic road grader. These Galion Patrols were the first hydraulically controlled road graders and were state of the art for the time. They were a beast of a machine and this emblem is no different weighing over 13 lbs and measuring roughly 32" by 8" I believe its made of cast iron but I am not 100% It is in great shape with the original paint and only some minor peeling and chipping as shown in the photos.
