I have hooked up external FM and AM generators and they look well with good front panel control. I think you will be happy with this signal generator and there is no risk. I will give you 14 days return for a 100% refund if it does not do what I say with it. Buyer has to pay return shipping. That is how confident I am of this one. This is the European model that tunes from 87.5 to 108 MHz in 5 kHz steps on the FM Broadcast band(The North American model tunes in 10 kHz steps) and from 531 to 1602 in 9 kHz steps on the AM Broadcast band(The North American model tunes from 530 to 1670 kHz in 10 kHz steps) The audio is amazing since the speaker is about 3" in diameter.
