This is a pretty cool piece of test equipment if you work on SONET or DS3 related circuits or mux's. This generates a test pattern on a DS3 or STS1. Check out the pics for settings. It also has a DS3 Bridge Repeater AND a STS1 Bridge Repeater. These are great to test long runs of cable. Especially in multi story buildings. Or in an emergency you can regen the DS3/STS1 signal to get things working on a long run of cable. I've never seen one of these again.
