HP Model 200B Audio Oscillator SERIAL NUMBER 96! It is a very early model. Probably late 1939, early 1940. Notice the rounded top corners! Notice the LOW serial number. I have been told not to clean it. Plug it in, and to sell it as is. So we don't know if it works or not. I've been told that this is the lowest serial number known outside of HP itself. This unit is considered RARE- and not many are known to exist- only 4 units known of and this unit is the lowest serial number. The story I'm told is that serial units lower than 100 probably were assembled by Hewlett and Packard themselves. And. HP 200B with rounded corners was probably hand built in the second garage at 481 Page Mill Road. It is so old, notice there is no HP company logo. Selling Qty 1 Used HP8690 A Sweep Oscillator Mainframe with the AC power cord included in the sale. The unit works and was used to test the plug that were listed for sale on eBay item#s. HP8694A RF Plugin eBay item# 221397079748. Sold item HP H89-8699B 0.1 to 4 GHz RF Plugin eBay item# 221397081467. The sweep selector functions: Manual. CW and Auto Sweep were tested as well as the Marker Function. All lights light up. The RF On light's red plastic cover fell off but the light is still ok. The Internal Sq Wave. Ext AM or rear switches and rear output connector functions were not tested. The unit is very old and has not been calibrated for a long time. You can find free operating manuals for the HP8690 B version by website download from Ko4bb Manuals. The unit is very heavy( around 50 pounds) and measures 17" wide by 18.5" deep ... moreand 8.5" high. This unit has been on my workbench for years and has done everything I’ve ever asked of it. I am upgrading equipment so now it is time for it to have a new home. We did a thorough operational check. The frequencies are all in spec, the output is accurate with one problem(noted below) and the 30% modulation was set correctly, sweep widths were right on, markers worked as they should, very much everything except for the output above about 105 MHz at higher outputs. I have since acquired an Austron 1210 and am putting these up for sale as a set. Both in working order and the oscillator has been kept calibrated to my GPS Locked Rubidium standard. It exhibits extremely low drift. Because of their age these are sold as-is where is but you can see from the photos that they are in working order. I am including the 59309A manual with this set. There is no manual for the 105A but it is on line. If you need more info or pictures please feel free to ask. I doubt that you'll find a better deal on these pieces ANYWHERE!
