Hewlett Packard 651B Test Oscillator. This is in nice cosmetic condition with the usual scratches and scuffs due to age but it does not look like it has been abused. Power cord and Operation/service manual are included. Unit has been tested for basic functionality and produces an output on all frequency ranges and levels. When set on the 3 volt range and measured with a properly terminated meter the output showed 3 volts. The scope photos show the output when the dial is set exactly on"10" and the frequency ranges were set to"x10" and then"x1 meg" The service manual is not for this specific serial number but it is a usable reference. This is the standard oscillator specified in the service manual for many vintage American-made studio tape recorders. A must-have to keep your vintage analog gear running. Needs to have its internal controls cleaned. And needs to be re-calibrated. It has begun working intermittently, because of the need for cleaning and possibly replacement of a few minor components, like capacitors in the power supply. Tubes test good, but recommend replacement if you're wanting it in pea condition. Because of age. Sold as-is, no guarantees that it still works.
