SquareTrade © AP6.0 This is a nice EICO Model 324 Signal Generator with a copy of the manual. Schematics and probe. It has a copper chassis. There have been no modifications made externally to the original kit. The signal generator puts out a modulated or unmodulated rf signal from 150 KHz to 435 MHz. and is accurate and stable for normal radio repair work. I've checked frequencies up to 30MHz with my digital receiver and they were all fairly close reading off the dial. Should you need accuracy, then couple in a frequency meter or zero beat using a digital receiver. The signal generator provides an approx. 400 cps audio tone that can be selected or an external audio signal can be used instead. All the filter electrolytics. Coupling and by-pass capacitors were replaced and any resistors out of tolerance were also replaced. The tubes ... morewere checked and both test good. The line cord is the original and is in good condition so it remains. All the knobs are original and all function properly. There is one dial lamp and that turns on. There are some scratches on the aluminum frontpiece and a little rust on the metal cabinet, following the cabinet edges. These could be corrected if you intend to use this unit as a collectable. This signal gererator can also function as a low power transmitter. Inputting an audio signal from a source. Digital recorder, tape recorder, etc would allow you to pick up those sounds on an antique radio, perhaps in another room.just as an idea. KNIGHT KG-686 RF SIGNAL GENERATOR WITH MODULATION METER HAM CB RADIO NICE UNIT
Up for sale we have a nice Knight model KG-686 RF signal generator. This is a nice heavy duty vintage unit in good operating condition. I just got done aligning the frequency ranges on it as they had drifted over the years a bit from the dial. Can output a straight RF signal as pictured on the oscilloscope or has a built in modulation selector where you can use the internal modulation or use external modulation. The modulated signal is the second oscilloscope picture. Front panel controls are pretty straight forward and is a very easy unit to use. Has a standard BNC 50 ohm output connection. Not banana jacks like many older units do. This is a fully solid state unit, not tube type. The only thing I had to do to it was install a new power jack in the back. The old one was broken. A modern socket has been installed and the unit comes with the ... morematching power cord. Overall this is a nice unit for the age and built like a tank, weighs darn near 14 pounds before packing. Vintage Hickok Model 288x Signal Generator Working Test Equipment What we have up for auctions is a Hickok model 288x signal generator. As you can see in the pictures the unit powers up and produces a wave form pattern. I am sure that's not calibrated and need fine tuning since it is well over 60 years old. Before anyone ask. You are bidding on the Hickok unit, the oscilloscope is not part of the deal. What you are getting is a vintage Hickok signal generator that does produce wave patterns. Unlike some you might buy that your not sure of what your getting. The only thing that I noticed on it that need attention was the slip coupling for changing the frequency is a little loose. Bliley Model 1A Crystal Controlled Oscillator Calibrator for Vintage Ham Radio
You are bidding on a vintage Bliley model 1A crystal controlled oscillator for radio servicing. Here's one of the handiest little pieces of service equipment for ham radio and vintage radio repair: A Bliley 1A crystal controlled oscillator. The large front dial selects an internal crystal at 175KHz. 200KHz, 262KHz, 370KHz, 455KHz, 465KHz, or 1000KHz. The selected frequency is then available as output, either as pure RF, modulated RF, or externally modulated RF. There's even a socket for an external crystal so you can add your own chosen crystal controlled frequency. Output level is controlled by a range switch and a continuously variable potentiometer. This instrument is very useful for aligning radios and calibrating oscilloscopes or other signal generators. This particular 1A is working on all ranges except as noted below. Photos ... more2 through 6 show the oscillator on the 175KHz. 200KHz, 370KHz, 455KHz, and 465KHz ranges. Output frequency was nearly perfect as shown on my General Radio frequency meter(not included in this auction) I also tested the external jack with a 455KHz crystal and that worked properly too. There are two issues with this 1A: First. The 262KHz crystal is apparently damaged, because on that range the instrument did not produce a consistent frequency. Second. At some point someone replaced the internal 1000KHz crystal with a 100KHz crystal and put a piece of tape over the last zero on the 1000KHz marking. The instrument works properly on that setting, producing 100KHz(see last photo) All of the crystals in a 1A are plug-in types except for the 1000KHz position. So if you need the 262KHz frequency it's just a matter of plugging in a new 262KHz crystal. The 1000KHz crystal is soldered in. So you can either leave that position at 100KHz if that's more useful than 1000KHz for you or replace the 100KHz modification with the correct 1000KHz crystal. It's not rocket science. It appears to be in good condition and work okay, but because of its age it is sold as-is- it may need recalibration or other maintenance performed. The only testing I did was to select some frequencies on my ICOM IC-761 HF/Shortwave Receiver, and I was able to hear the output of this signal generator on the Receiver, as I turned the IG-102's frequency dial to match that of the Receiver. And it will also accept an external tone or modulation source, or provide output of the internal 400-Hz tone generator for use with other test equipment. I received it as part of a large lot of used Amateur Radio and electronic test equipment, including other pieces of this Blue-cased series of Heathkit test equipment, which will be listed in separate auctions. It appears to be in very good condition but is not tested and it is sold as-is, as it may need recalibration or other maintenance performed.
