I originally planned on transferring all the guts into a brand new head case,etc. and I bought everything needed for the project, but then I decided it would be wrong to tamper with such a very important piece of bass playing history. The mid-late 70's ... morehead has plenty of road wear but worked fine and sounded amazing when I bought it many years ago but it is NOT working right now as it has been in storage for many years and it needs some TLC. May need a couple new tubes,caps,bias, only VERY minor routine maintenance& repairs to get running. I hope to have it repaired before it is sold and I will update the auction when I do so. This bike was definitely pushing the envelope as far as technology goes and its light with a great ride. The 3 carbon tubes really isolate bumps and vibration generated from rough off road trails. This bike is slightly not original- it was mainly an LX/XT bike. But now has several changes. The rear wheel has been swapped out to a Deore/Sun combo with a new 7 speed cassette. New saddle complements the original seatpost, but the stem has been swapped out for a Titec item. Still has the original ... moreLX rapidfire shifters/brake levers, LX front derailleur, XT rear derailleur, but the LX crank has new Blackspire chainrings. The rear tire has been replace with the original front tire while the front tire is a Smoke Dart. The Shimano 747 clipless pedals are still one of the best pedals on the market. Even if they clog up with mud from time to time. These have been added on and were not stock- they are also fairly worn and beat up. The Judy XC front fork works well. Here's a nice pair of NOS Telefunken EF 804S tubes. These came from a studio in Germany without boxes. They were in sheets that held twelve tubes each and because of that they have some wear to the paint but they are NEW OLD STOCK. These are being sold in plain white boxes and are great sounding tubes for your Telefunken V pre amps and are very low noise. As pictured they have the Telefunken diamond on the bottom. Here's a bit of history on the Telefunken EF 804S tube: After the Berlin factory's production capacity was exhausted and only 30% of the EF804 tubes could be used for Encephalographs. The plant in Ulm started to develop an upgrade to this EF804 needed for the medical equipment industry; the EF804S. Some of the base material was changed, there was a more intensive cleaning of the raw materials and different wafer designs ... morewere implemented to push the limits of tube design. Up for auction are two as found“19th Century” antique chimneyless Champhine. Or fluid burners, one is very"UNIQUE" Both burners are made of pewter, have perfect threaded fitters, brass chains, with attached pewter flame snuffers, and their original pewter font collars. OK, 1st photo, left burner: This UNIQUE burner has a brass wick tube, with a brass wick tube extension. If needed this extension allows the wick and flame to be way above the font. Champhine was explosive. This extension appears to be a safety device. The threaded fitter is smaller than a No.1, it could be a 0. There is an old wick. Next piece has a No.1 size fitter and a tin wick tube. Both early burners are solid, and in great condition. Removed from a lamp collector's home. Hopefully a lamp person can use these early burners and collars for a restoration. Or ... moreparts! Have you seen one? Interesting 19th Century piece. Dean Markley Overlord tube overdrive pedal. I got this years ago and it was in great shape BUT one put shaft was bent a little so I tried to straighten it– and of course it broke off. It sat for quite a while but finally I got a replacement pot– right value but it has loops. Not PC board tabs, so I used short pieces of wire to hook it up after it was mounted in the case. It works fine now BUT it adds noise. Even in bypass. Not a ton. And it’s more when you’re not playing you hear it. But it’s there. I have only had one other of these and I don’t remember whether it was the same. Very likely curable but sold as is. Working but adds noise. Has a Groove Tubes 7025 installed. I’ve heard that some people like a 12AT7 in these. From a cosmetic standpoint it’s excellent plus. Most people would say near mint. Original Vinyl Tube Chaise Lounge 70's Orange with white aluminum & wood Retro 2
1 of 2 identical chairs given to me by a neighbor thinking that I'd cut them up to include the frames in an aluminum recycling trip I had planned. The chairs are just too cool and in too good of condition to simply discard so I thought I'd offer them online. They were stored for many years. Out of the UV radiation of the sun, in plastic garbage bags and are in excellent useable condition. No manufactures mark or labels so age unknown. Color and use of tubular vinyl instead of the"original" plastic webbing suggests that these are from the mid 1970's. Combination of wide vinyl webbing with cross tubing vinyl makes for a firm seat. Approx dimensions of the chair: 20 1/4" wide with the seat section being 20 1/2" long. The leg support is 24" long and the back rises 29" The wood arms are 21" long and ... more2 3/8" at their widest point. The arms taper on the edge to make them more comfortable. The tubular aluminum is 1" diameter and the chair has solid aluminum rods for extra bracing of the frame. The seat is approx 11" off of the ground. There are rusty fasteners as they mixed aluminum and steel throughout but nothing is rusted through or loose. The aluminum is oxidized from age and the vinyl was dirty. I did wash down the chairs to inspect condition but you'd still need to clean between the webbing. The wood has all be repainted at one point of its life. Has some flaking again to the finish, and there is overpaint(brushed on) on some parts of the chair. Mainly inside the arms on the adjustment bracket and some on the vinyl webbing at the back of the arms. The area of the most wear are the plastic caps on the ends of the aluminum tubing. The main feet are worn and secured from falling off by silver duct tape. Other plugs are still intact but show their age with cracks or crazing the the plastic. Nice large porcelain top knob measures approx. 2" at largest diameter x 2" tall, thats just the porcelain, total height of top piece is approx. 4" total length of large brass plumbing tube is about 21" and diameter of fittings on base is approx.1 3/4" threads, main tube is approx. 2" OD and inner tube is approx. 1 1/2" OD, looks like porcelain cap went onto inner tube and the solder has been broken, will need refitted and soldered, inside porcelain top where it attaches to brass you can see some small cracks forming, shows well in closeup picture, nickel plating shows wear all around.This is a vintage or antique item, and I have described it to the best of my abilities. Speedotron Black Line 102 CC Light Unit with 7" Reflector w/Brand New flash tube
Doing some house cleaning and need to unload anything which has gone unused in a while. although I did just use this and other speedo stuff on a recent shoot. My emphasis is going from what used to be almost strictly studio, to location work exclusively. I need a smaller, lighter kit, so this industrial strength stuff(Speedo Black Line, Yeah! needs to go. This is a Speedo 102 light unit in fine condition with a built-in 20ft power cord. A decent 7 inch reflector, and transport cover(Metal one with foam padding inside in new condition) AND A BRAND NEW 100 DOLLAR FLASH TUBE. The manufacture date is 12/10, which is December 2010. It was purchased at B and H a year ago or so, and has very low miles, to be sure! This head also has a model light switch at the top. The radio measures approximately 17 inches tall by 14 inches wide by 9 inches deep and weighs 20 pounds. It has been tucked away in the estate for quite some time. We did not do a thing to it, and left it just the way it was when discovered in the estate. We are selling it in as found, untested condition. Vintage Zenith Four Tube Portable Radio Chicago Radio Lab Model 4G903-Y Manufactured 1949 We have many vintage radios to choose from. Should have them all listed by March 5th. This bad boy is wicked cool. The on off switch is the dial face itself- push the latch down the face pops up and turns on the radio. The metal trim is clean and free from pitting. The case is BAKELITE and has a small chip at the trim front top. The tab that holds the rear panel on looks like a repair was attempted with glue, it didn't hold but I do have the piece if you are a bakelite repairman and the rear panel stays when put in place.
