Extra Large Vintage Blue Metal Shopping Basket Great for Storage! I just love the color on this old metal shopping basket! An awesome vintage blue metal basket back from around the 1930's or 1940's. All original! This is a rare large size measuring a whopping 22" long by 14" wide by 10" deep. Has two handles for easy carrying. A rare blue color! First one of these old metal baskets that I have come across in blue! In good vintage condition with it's chippy paint. The top part of one of the metal bars is broke off on the corner as shown in picture above. Heavy duty and very sturdy! Great to store towels. Magazines, shoes, fabric, etc. I came across this at an old farmhouse so I recommend a little better cleaning as I just lightly wipped it off. Super condition. just a scant amount of surface rustiness and there is one spoke clamp missing on one wheel that does not affect the wheel or use in any way. Cart is 38" tall to the top of the handle and about 12" wide. The wheels are hard rubber and in great shape, they are 8.5" in diameter. The basket is about 22" high in the front and 27" high in the back. it is 15" wide at the widest which tapers down to 9" at the narrowest. Absoulutely great looking industrial piece and fully useable! Folds flat for storage, too. From a great pet and smoke free estate! Payment is appreciated within 5 days. This is a great vintage shopping cart or industrial mechanic crash cart. Solid shape with no rust and the wheels roll smoothly. There is wear on the rubber bumper on the bottom but to be expected with the age. It is a green color but looks like it is either fading color or another grey paint color on top. This is a vintage heavy duty two wheeled basket cart. It could be used for many things including laundry. Groceries, farmers market, toys, storage, display and others. These work great for Flea Markets- Farmers Markets, Etc. It's in very good condition and works well. Has a patina and some light discoloration/surface rust on it. see pics) It collapses to be stored flat and has a catch to keep it closed. It has white mag rims that are 9 5/8" in diameter for ease of movement with heavy loads. Vintage Rolling Shopping Grocery Laundry Cart Basket, One Of A Kind, Unique!
This is an awesome vintage rolling cart. It looks like the original basket material was replaced with a pretty red. Green, yellow and white plaid in a heavy duty woven vinyl material. The bottom is covered with a piece of sturdy plywood. This cart is unmistakably retro with that plaid pattern and vintage with it's pram style wheels. It would look great as a part of your decor, or while you use it to haul your groceries or laundry. There is some light surface rust on the metal. The strap you see snapped on the bottom of the basket was originally sewn to the top rim so that the basket could be folded flat. It could be easily stitched back on. The diagonal metal pieces at the top of the basket unhook to facilitate the folding process. You will probably never see another one like this.
