First one of these old metal baskets that I have come across in blue! In good vintage condition with it's chippy paint. This is a great antique piece that features a wire body and collapsible/folding design. This is a great cart for grocery shopping or going to the laundromat. It features a wire frame. Hard rubber wheels and a plastic(or possibly bakelite) handle. The handle is a blue plastic wrap around the wire bar. The bottom of the cart folds up and the sides and front fold in so you can easily store this in the closet when not in use. This is a great antique piece that would make a nice addition to any vintage and antique collection! Condition: This piece is antique and used with some wear. The ... morecart is sturdy and the wheels still roll freely. There is cosmetic wear from age and use including pitting and oxidation on the wire. Vintage Mid-century Collapsing Metal Shopping Cart Hard Rubber Wheels Wire Spoke
Up for auction is a mid-century metal collapsable shopping cart with hard rubber wheels and wire spokes recently found at auction in the suburban Philadelphia area. It is found in good used condition. It collapses freely. There are losses to the original paint with rust to the metal and the tires. There is much scratching& pitting to the surface as if much used. There are paint splatters. It measures approx 39" x 18" when collapsed. The wheels are approx 7" in diameter and when fully opened the cart is approx 11.25 x 13.75 and 21.25" tall. Very easy to carry when folded or easy to roll when opened. Easy to hang when stored. Very versatile. Best of luck in bidding. Vtg Metal Grocery Shopping Cart Industrial Wire Basket Flower Garden Yard Decor
Full size. Vintage wire grocery/shopping retail cart. Fold up back for nesting. It stands 38 1/2" high, 18" wide and 30" long. This is one of two that I have acquired from an old plumbing supply store. This one has a few bent wires on the basket. I have knocked off the surface grime with a power washer, though as you can see it is still nicely age worn with rust and knobby rubber wheels. It still rolls, no problem. The handle is very dinged up and has splits, etc. The cart does not fold, though I believe I can remove the basket from the base for shipping. Thanks for looking. This is a fabulous vintage shopping cart. All original. This vintage shopping cart dates from the 1940's era! Great all metal cart with two metal wheels and a large metal handle great for the upcoming flea market season or for your home decor! The cart is quite sturdy with rows of great looking distressed metal and a cute semi-oval shaped front! For a wonderful cottage look. I added a burlap liner which I pinned along the sides and tied on two burlap ribbons, then added a beautiful vintage pink millenary rose to the front! I love the finished product. But all can be removed by simply unpinning for a great shabby industrial look out in the fields or within your home! Measures 39" high x 16" wide x 9 1/2" deep. Good luck bidding!
