Up for your consideration is this Pitney Bowes 16 oz. First Class Beam postal scale. This is a pretty serious scale. With it's 3 point feet, and cast aluminum construction, they built these to last a longtime. Putting the postage prices on there may have been a little short-sighted though, that's probably why someone scratched off some of the information on the sticker. You just read the graduations on the beam which are in 1/2 oz. increments instead of using the numbers on the sticker. Great for the office or an Ebayer that ships a lot of lightweight packages. I use one identical to this one on a daily basis, and I have never had a problem with postage, so I weighed some items on both scales and they were in agreement. Even Works during power outage. Vintage Singer-Friden 9300 Scale The Singer Company purchased the Friden Calculator company in 1963. Expanding from their line of sewing machines. That division was then phased out in the early 1970's as the new electronic calculators took over the marketplace. This wonderful scale is a fine example of American craftsmanship at its best. After 35 to 40 years or so, it is still operating accurately. The 1972 postage chart is certainly out of date though. Back then, a one ounce letter was $.06. The scale is in used but still in great shape.

Antique Pelouze 16 oz. postage scale for 3 cent letters.
The"Crescent" is 3 1/2" tall. 3 1/2" deep and 2" wide. The spring and spring adjustment still work. The bottom shows 4 patent dates-the last being May 26, 1903 with a patent pending. I would assume this model was manufactured around that 1903 date. It's is very good shape. Free shipping to the U.S. via USPS standard post so allow 1-2 weeks for delivery.
